new video from a deadly row house fire. two people died when a fire broke out overnight along rigs place and 16th street in northwest. news 4's kristen wright is live on the scene and has more for us. kristen, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, barbara. i want to show you the row home first, it looks pretty bad. this was a devastating fire. you see fire investigators and police still here. atf here as well which is standard in an investigation like this. just got off the phone a few minutes ago with a man who lived in this row home. fortunately he is out of town right now but he is saddened to hear that tweemhear that two people are dead. the fire was intense. >> flames were shooting out of the roof top and it was pretty bad. they had firemen on the roof of that house and the next two houses down. >> reporter: one neighbor saw a person who was trapped in the

burning row home on riggs place in northwest d.c. break through a window and jump. two people are dead. . firefighters worked firelessly spending hours knocking down the flames and beginning their investigation. commissioner michael upright woke up to ie rens. he was up all night. >> that's very sad and tragic it happened. i find it very rare a fire of this magnitude happed. they called out two companies that i'm aware of. >> reporter: the fire gutted the three-story home. investigators are going through what's left to find out how the fire started. back here live fire investigators have a lot of work to do here after a deadly fire like this. you may see some of them walking around through the front windows here. again, just the beginning of the investigation so at this point no idea what started this fire. we also want to tell you that three firefighters were hurt this morning 00 minor injuries we're told they'll be just fine.

the brentwood shopping center in january, toward. firefighters allegedly watched from across the street and refused to respond to pleas for help. one firefighter has since been fired. a developing story out of massachusetts now. one man is dead and another behind bars after an investigation into potentially grisly terror plots. a police officer and an fbi agent shot and killed a man who was believed to be planning an isis-style attack here in the u.s. the "boston globe" reports police think 26-year-old usaama rahim wanted to behead a police officer. when rahim was confronted, police say he lunged at that with a knife. police also arrested david wright of everett massachusetts, he is due in court in just a few hours. right now, top federal counterterrorism officials are testifying on capitol hill in response to lone wolf attacks inspired by the internet. the hearing comes after two men

a developing story now. interpol put six men linked to the fifa scandal on its most-wanted list. this is who the international alert is for -- two former fifa officials and four executives. one of the men is the former vice president, jack warner. they're all facing racketeering and corruption charges. the most-wanted list comes out one day after fifa president sepp blatter announced he's going to step down amid a world cup bribery scandal. a source familiar with the investigation confirmed to nbc news the fbi is looking into possible wrongdoing by blatter u.s. attorney general loretta lynch is not commenting. jordan prince ali bin alnal-hussein may be asked to step into the rolement he lost an election to blatter last week. a maryland woman died after getting injections to make her butt bigger now the search is on for the suspect who did the procedure. police say 34-year-old kelly

mayhew traveled to queens, new york, to have the enlargement done. she liked to pose for pictures on her public facebook page. the "new york daily news" reports the woman gave may view silicone injections she then had trouble breathing. mayhew's mother was with her at the time and called for help. the woman who gave may you the injections just drove away. there was a similar case in prince george's county about a year ago. police say vinnie taylor met a woman at a capitol heights hotel room and gave her an injection to enlarge her butt, that woman later got sick and died. a grand jury indicted taylor for murder in january. detectives never found any evidence he had any medical training. the woman's death was ruled a homicide. it's been a valuable training tool for prince george's county firefighters. today for the last time firefighters will light up the so-called bank building at bowie marketplace for a live fire training exercise. the training starts at 11:00 this morning and will go on until 3:00 this afternoon. there will be four different training exercises that will last about 45 minutes each.

d.c. united is still considering a move to virginia despite tentative plans for d.c. to build a team a new stadium here. . the "washington post" reports team officials toured possible stadium sites in loudon county. virginia says a stadium there would cost millions less and would be ready for the 2017 season. the team reached a deal to play at a stadium at buzzard's point in the district however many team's fans live in northern virginia. chuck? outside nothing but clouds and drizzle here's the way future weather handles the extended period of clouds and ugly weather by 4:00 and what happens here is our future weather doesn't pick up very well on the smallest drops just the mist and drizzle. so that's what we're facing for the remainder of the afternoon and into the early evening hours. by wakeup time still cloudy

at least one of two hit tv shows that film in maryland could be headed out west. hbo's "veep" is considering a move to california after the state set up heavy tax incentives for the studio. a big heist in stafford county. detectives there say somebody stole more than $500000 in jewelry and cash from princess jewelry on dock stone road. the theft happened last week. investigators say the thieves also took security cameras and an alarm system. they also discovered thieves broke into another store and cut a hole into the wall to get at the jewels. by now many of you have seen this incredible video, a car sliced in half by a train. now hear about the plan to prevent such disasters and how you'll soon see it on your

barbara? d.c. police arrested a teacher and charged him with sexual abuse of a student. giovanni pena is a popular fourth grade english teacher. d.c. police say they received information on monday that pena sexually abused a student at the school's adams morgan campus on 19th street. they arrested him and charged him with second degree sexual assault yesterday. d.c. public schools tell us they removed him as soon as that has learned of the situation. new psa warning you about staying safe around the train. the company operation lifesaver says a car crushing a can is the same as a train going up against your car. this morn that message is poignant for a family in florida. you can see a train in jacksonville hit that car. sliced it right in two. nbc's kerry sanders tells us how everyone amazingly survived.

>> reporter: it doesn't get much closer than this. dramatic surveillance video shows the moment a car carrying three people was literally sliced in half by an amtrak train traveling from new york to miami. >> when i turned around the back of the car wasn't there. >> reporter: edward peterson was in the front passenger seat. his pregnant girlfriend was in the back. she was ejected when the train hit. >> all i could think about was my girl so i jumped out of the car to go find her. >> reporter: miraculously they were both okay suffering just minor injuries and the driver of the car, the 21-year-old stacy peterson, jr. was also okay. the jacksonville sheriff's office tweeted he admitted he drove around the railroad arms. amtrak told nbc news there were no injuries on the train and after a four-hour delay it continued to miami. the driver's father said the fact that no one was killed was a god sent miracle. and he hopes it's a lesson for his son. >> maybe he'll learn from it and slow down.

meet lacey as she finally gets a guitar lesson. at the levine school of music we met up with lacy, a 16-year-old who wants to learn to play the guitar better. what kind of music do you like? >> well hip-hop, pop. >> reporter: gary prince chair of the jazz department here offered to give lacy a lesson. >> i see you brought your guitar with you today. let's take it out. >> reporter: gary tuned up and plugged both guitars into the amplifier and asked lacy for a little sample of something she liked to play. lacy at 16 is a conscientious student who has struggled to learn all she can since getting a slow start as a young child before coming into foster care at four years old. >> she needs an extra boost to get her up to speed. >> reporter: lacy has shown an interest in a lot of different activities. >> i did karate for a while. i did ballet cheerleading, soccer. >> have you thought about what you'd like to be when you're all grown up?

we have breaking news near the poconos in pennsylvania. what we have are two people who are dead, more than a dozen others hurt after a bus and a tractor-trailer collide head on. take a look at some of this tra dramatic video that we got of the aftermath of this scene. you can see that the big rig there sheared pretty much in half. you're actually looking at live pictures of what they're trying to clean up now. witnesses saying that they heard a big crash and heard people screaming. this crash shutting down the northbound lanes i 380, traffic is snarled on all sides. hearing they've had to close down the local airport in order to get medevac in and out of the area to help with victims. as of right now we don't know what has caused this crash. aaron? >> angie, thank you. a california woman pleaded not guilty to murder after she ran over and killed a man with her car. that woman told police a motorcyclist in chula vista was traffic and even kicked her car.

according to prosecutors, though, the woman chased the victim and hit his motorcycle from behind on purpose. the victim was identified as 39-year-old zachary globe, a member of the navy's special operations unit. police charged 26-year-old darla renee jackson with murder. a very different kind of boating accident to tell you about this morning. florida wildlife officials say a six foot long sturgeon leaped out of a river near the georgia border. the fish knocked a girl unconscious apparently. we're told the teenager was boating with her family when this happened. she was taken to the hospital and will be fine. embarrassed but fine. a grand slam caused some must-see disappointment, maybe even grief for a baseball fan in detroit. look at this kid. you can see he's so excited to catch the home run in the tigers athletics game yesterday. however, the boy is a tigers fan and he quickly realizes a player from the other team hit that ball. he starts crying. and no one can cheer him up. of course his team then went on
