to honor her memory and make her proud. and the massive manhunt intensifies tonight for convicted killers who busted out of a new york prison. find out itchf police are any closer to picking up their trail. we start this evening in the storm team 4 weather center with meteorologist amelia siegel because of the threat of severe weather in our forecast for tomorrow. so, mele, what do we need to watch out for? >> thunderstorms through the area and heavy rain. high wind could produce isolated wind damage. heavy rain won't lead to flash flooding i think storms will be moving through quickly. if you are driving it could lead to hydroplaning and reduce visibility. low threat of hail. i can't rule out a tornado while it isn't likely, wind are there. can't rule it out of the forecast. timing tomorrow storms possible, 4:00 to 11:00 p.m.

somebody snapped four people at 14th/t streets. two men two women were stabbed. we know that police have some one in custody. >> police have a man in custody in connection with a different stabbing near the gallery place/chinatown. 7th/h, a woman and three men were stabbed. everyone is expected to survive. no word on a motive in this case. >> >> two dangerous convicted murderers on the lam after escaping a maximum security prison in upstate new york. tonight police say they could be anywhere. nbc's john yang has a look at their elaborate prison break and the note they left behind. >> more than 250 state and

federal law enforcement officers scour the area around this village in the adirondack mountains looking for clues that could lead them to the two convicted killers discovered missing at a 5:30 a.m. saturday bed check. >> leaving no stone unturned. been 36 hours since the inmates escaped. they could be literally anywhere. >> officials describe both men as very dangerous. david sweat 35 serving life sentence with no parole for the 2002 killing of a sheriff's deputy in new york. 49-year-old richard matt sentenced to 25 years to life for beating a man to death and dismembering him near buffalo in 1997. authorities describe an escape worthy of a hollywood screen play. they stuffed their bunks to look like they were sleeping. from separate cells each used power tools to cut through a steel wall to reach a catwalk six stories high. they shimmies down to a tunnel below broke through a brick

wall and cut an entrance and exit from a 2-foot wide pipe before breaking a steel lock on a manhole a block away from the prison wall. work officials took a matter of days to carry out. they left behind a racially offensive postit note reading -- have a nice day. new york governor andrew cuomo retraced the escapee's path. >> we went back and pieced together what they did. it was elaborate. sophisticated. >> reporter: two big questions -- where did the tools come from? how did the men know how to navigate the maze of pipes and tunnels? in the village of 4,000 people, residents are on guard. >> it is scary. this is my backyard. >> a texas police officer off the job after wild video surfaces from a pool party that shows him wrestling a 14-year-old girl to the ground and then pulling a weapon on

some unarmed teenagers. police reported the scene reported to the scene because of a fight outside a community pool. the video does not show what happened leading up to the encounter. but the mckinney police chief says his initial reaction after seeing this video was to put the officer on leave. >> well we did see the video. at this time, i'm not prepared to talk about anything in particular. but we want, in watching the video, we did want to conduct a full investigation into it. >> this officer, now on administrative leave, pending the outcome of the investigation. the teenagers were released to their parents. >> new tonight a driver has been badly hurt after his car slammed into a tree in german town. we just got this video into our newsroom. the car, a toyota, really nothing left but a mangled mess of metal. police tell us the impact was so great that the engine was

separated from the rest of the car. what you are seeing there on the ground. this happened on german town road near scenery drive. police say this may have started with an altercation between the driver and some other people that investigation of course continues at this hour. new at 11:00, a child disappears after jumping into the water near bloede's dam. crews called at 6:30. searched the waters. they came up with nothing. it is presumed that the boy has died. a recovery team will return to that area tomorrow. it has been two weeks. still no answers for a young boy. mourning his mother's death. gunned down outside their northwest d.c. home on memorial day. and police say the killer took off on a dirt bike. news 4s darcy spencer live outside police headquarters with more on this story. darcy. >> well, ericka who ever fired the shot from the dirt bike not only took the life of a woman,

it took the life of a mother of a young boy. >> 12-year-old davonte plays kick ball behind kennedy rec center northwest. the game is being held in the memory of his mom, tamara gliss, murdered on memorial day. >> i feel bad. but also i feel happy. i feel happy because i know she is in a better place. i feel bad because now she is gone. >> 31 and a single parent. she was out enjoying a cookout about 9:00 at night near her apartment on o street when some one fired a single shot from a dirt bike. davonte heard that shot. >> it is not okay to have violence around her. you never know, a bullet doesn't have a name on it. and, it can hit anyone, any time, any day. >> she was active in her neighborhood. her many friend and relatives decide to hold the kick ball game to bring everyone together. >> we know this is the kind of thing sunny would look ushe would look to do. keep her memory going.
