synthetic marijuana. they tell us the situation is similar to that scene. 11 people overdosed on the synthetic marijuana caused bizarro. they are seeing a big increase on people overdosing on this stuff. it can cause you to hallucination. now the popular kinds are k2, spice, train wreck, a man walked outside and said they were using that train wreck. they were using that train wreck but that has not been confirmed. again, this is an unknown substance. ems investigating trying to figure out what exactly caused these people to become lethargic and look passed out.

synthetic marijuana is illegal and dangerous. new developments involving a man charged with a quadruple murder. darre nempb wint has hired two new attorneys. one of the new lawyers says wint is looking forward to his day in court. >> darren is the only person charged in the quadruple murder. his dna was found on pizza. he had more than $10,000 in money orders and cash on him. wint has been represented by a team of public defenders who insisted that wint was innocent. today his new attorney would not answer any questions. >> he is encouraged about the case and he feels good.

major league baseball commissioner is responding to allegations that one of the league's most storied clubs stole information from a rival time. it is reported that snn the front office for the st. louis cardinals accessed the internal networks of the houston astros. special data bases containing scout reports and trade discussions ft at this point baseball's commissioner says there's not much he can do. >> this th is different than you know like when we might investigate a drug case where we're running the investigation. i have access to all the facts realtime realtime. we will act appropriately at that point in time. i think people should not lose sight of the fact that to what happened with the question of who did it who knew about it the organization responsible the individual responsible.

courtroom, steven's family. they offered disturbing details of what happened inside the house the three women shared with the accused killer. >> they spoke at grace mann's funeral and today her house mate offered crucial testimony in the first degree murder case against the man accused of killing the sophomore. the women say they were walking a friend's dog when one got a cryptic text from a house mate. i went in holly's room and i made a mess. when katherine erwin texted back made a mess there was no reply. the women found dog water bowls overturned, the painting askew. they knocked on holly's door and steven emerged. he asked what would you do if grace didn't come back? what would you do if she wasn't here any more.

he went on to say grace lunged at him and he had to defend himself. he said she'd bitten him. alex pushed into a bedroom and on the floor, mann's body. there was a plastic bag over her head. i pulled it off and i screamed and ran from the room. other bags were stuffed in mann's mouth. 911 was called and the other house mate began cpr. briel explained this, we had a disagreement, she slapped me i strangled her and she's in there now. >> the family left with no comment and said the case is tragic for both families. >> they love their son. they are as confused as anyone else how a person with this background could have done such a thing or been involved in it. >> what the two roommates

we are here with a sobering development in the search for two escaped killers. a senior official now says they have no real idea where the escaped convicts are. police have not received any solid intelligence over the past four days. police have expanded the search into other areas. so far they have scoured more than 16 square miles and they are still going to deploy more k-9 units. eight officers are searching for the men and the cost of the search is now well into the millions. >> when he graduates he is walking across that stage. >> the words of a hopeful northern virginia mother last summer two years after her teen aged son became a quadriplegic after an accident at myrtle

who have had their information compromised and somewhat's especially trouble something that it's very difficult to get answers out of opm at this time scope of the problem. >> what would you like to see opm do? what do you think it should be doing? >> i think opm is going to have to very quickly make a determination of the extent of this breach and let congress know it's pretty clear when they testified in committee today that they had not completed an investigation. i don't know i don't think -- they have got to move much more quickly in terms of getting answers. they failed to alert people what had happened when they discovered the breach. the breach may affect millions more than previously thought.

she had no public comment but in court she answered in a strong clear voice. she said the plea was her decision and she was sure it was what she wanted to do. the plea spared the teenager from having to testify. she performed a sex act on him when he was 15 years old in a beach house she rented for her and her children. she allegedly met the victim through her son. other charges have gone away. she will be sentenced in august. the maximum penalty, 15 years in prison. >> this is obviously a very difficult time. >> now our team of reporters are covering the big stories making headlines across the region.
