los angeles after a huge explosion downtown. the blast rocked a high rise on wilshire boulevard. this is just a few hours ago. this video just coming in. it shows firefighters going into the building, checking it out. the fire was put out quickly. it is a 19 story building. the explosion went off in the basement. reports are that a generator may have exploded. everybody pretty much okay. that is the good news. two people taken to the hospital for what sounds like not too serious of injuries. >> all right. thank you. 4:30 today. today in georgia the nation's first army rangers will graduate. kristen griest and shaye haver will receive their medals. the two women are still unable to join army special forces units. that could could change next

this morning we are hearing from people who felt a big gas explosion at a school in new york city. this happened in bronx and take a look. this is a school here. pretty big one. a lot of the windows blown out this morning. just a huge scene last night with firefighters everywhere. here's what we're hearing about what may have happened. construction crews were building a chemistry lab on the school's sixth floor when suddenly there was this explosion.

this man was accused of setting fire to a crib mattress while his infant slept inside and pled guilty to failing to report a fire. the baby's mother is no longer facing charges. we were learned that the -- we have learned that the man accused of abducting a uva student may have been planning to flee to mexico. prosecutors say a map found in his sister's car in texas shows that he had planned to head over the border. matthew is charged in the death of hannah graham. the judge ruled yesterday graham supporters can wear clothing with her photo on it in court. the judge also ruled matthew must be in handcuffs for pretrial hearings but can be in personal clothing for the jury trial next july. an investigation underway into how a hand gun made into the holding cell in baltimore. the police there confirmed

somebody found a gun inside a cell at a police station. they didn't say if anyone was in the cell at the time. police are staying tight lipped about the investigation that prompted a search at the home of kiss frontman gene simmons. however, police say simmons himself is not a suspect nor are his family members. the investigators are part of a task force investigating internet crimes against children. a representative for simmons says police met with him about a crime that may have happened on their property last year while he was on tour. caitlyn jenner may be facing charges in connection to a deadly car crash in california. the los angeles county sheriff's office says it's recommending a vehicular manslaughter charge jenner rear ended another car and the driver of the car was killed. jenner was said to be driving unsafely. and if convicted jenner could spend up to a year in jail. as you get your kids ready

now we're trying out and the storm team 4 radar all clear now. the temperatures are really dropping, it's down into the 50s now in western maryland. much of west virginia. only the low 60s, shenandoah valley. western and northern suburbs right in washington, right in the 70s. low to mid 70s around the bay where it's still humid. but the lower humidity is coming your way as well. so we went from uncomfortable humidity to pleasant humidity that'll be in place here for the next seven days. can you stand it? comfortable humidity will be with us for an extended period. afternoon highs will be reaching the mid 80s. beautiful summer day coming up. a bit of a breeze through midday and then it will be gorgeous here. unreal. all the way into next week. maybe a little more humid on monday, but still very pleasant and look what's missing on the storm team 4 seven day outlook, no storms or rain. looks dry for the next seven days.
