drug bust in d.c.'s history. 19,000 packets of bizzaro, worth about $2.3 million. undercover officers watched two men unload 14 boxes from a shipping service and then unload the drugs into a storage locker in northwest d.c. yenework tefera abera, and siraj issa face up to 20 years in prison. police have a named suspect in a shooting that considered metro to change one of the bus routes. bijon brown sat a man on elvans road southeast last month. they are still looking for him. metro temporarily stopped bus routes through the area after 7:00 p.m. and that decision was reversed. officers are now patrolling that area 24 hours a day. new video just in to the live desk of migrants pouring

into trains at budapest. we have learned that police ended the blockades but no trains are running to western europe. that's for security reasons, they say. police shut down that terminal on tuesday. that's the latest. back to you. >> thank you. it's now 4:34. new details about the heart breaking v.a. scandal. the department of veterans affairs has nearly a million pending applications from vets needing to be seen by a doctor. the applications go back nearly two decades and about a third of the applicants are likely dead, many of them passing away years ago. but due to quote serious problems with enrollment data, it is impossible to say whether these veterans died while waiting for care. the report also says v.a. workers incorrectly marked many applications completed and many important applications may have been deleted. the heat wave makes it tough for dozens of seniors in maryland.

welcome back. police in prince william county need your help in finding a man who exposed himself to a teenager. this happened in the area of savannah drive in woodway place yesterday around 7:00. the 17-year-old girl was walking to a school bus stop when she spotted the man making rude gestures at her. if you have any information, police want to hear from you. some tough news for all you parents with high school kids. the college board says that while a record number of students took the s.a.t. exams this year scores dropped. only 42% hit a benchmark showing they're ready for college. scores in reading and math are down two points from last year. the s.a.t.'s are undergoing a major revamp that rolls out next year. it is now 4:41. time for weather and traffic on the 1s. we are waiting for a little

filed against the woman accused of trying to kidnap a toddler from a stroller. this happened aboard a metro train. metro riders jumped in stop the woman as she tried to grab a 2-year-old girl. a passenger who was sitting nearby and doesn't want to be named tried to stop the woman. here's how he described the moment he knew something was wrong. >> out of nowhere i kind of see a baby in the air. and the woman just screams my baby, my baby. it was just crazy. just happened really fast. it was extremely surreal. you never think someone is going to steal a baby. >> the witness says the man who acted first is the real hero. it is now important to say here that the police caution passengers not to intervene when a rider becomes involved in a criminal act but both woman and child are okay. talking decision 2016 now. presidential candidate carly fiorina is saying there's now no question that she is quote among front-runners in the primary.

she made that comment last night on fox news after news she'll most likely appear on the main stage at the next republican debate, but it's the democratic primary that could see the biggest game change. we are talking about the possibility that vice president joe biden might challenge hillary clinton. let's get right to nbc's tracie potts who is tracking the latest from capitol hill. >> reporter: good morning. so he's still on the campaign style trip in florida, a battle ground state, talking today about iran, but the vice president was not talking at all about whether or not he's going to run in 2016. he ignored questions about that. analysts said there's good reasons he may or may not take on hillary clinton. number one, he may have to go on the attack. they're very good friends, they're very similar when it comes to positions. but in order to win that primary, if he decides to jump in he may have to go on the attack and some analysts are saying they don't know if as he the stomach to do that.

not only are they similar on positions but some are thinking he's more of a threat to republicans than hillary clinton. his numbers are more likable. his likability numbers are higher, he connects with people. the draft biden campaign is already hiring people in south carolina. they think because of the e-mail scandal hillary clinton is vulnerable. in fact, today on the hill, one of her top aides is expected to plead the fifth about that. so while we're watching carly fiorina very closely as she moves in on that republican side, we're waiting to see if we get any indication of whether the vice president will run. he's in florida again today. >> tracie potts, thank you. and we'll have to wait until next week to find out whether six baltimore police officers charged in the death of freddie gray will be tried in baltimore. during a series of hearings yesterday, a judge refused to drop charges against the officers. and denied a motion to remove the prosecutor marilyn mosby. he did agree that they should be

tried separately and he hinted at how he'll rule next week. he said that jurors can be found in baltimore for the trials. a man in charge of the officers says the city's police force, quote, took a knee after freddie gray's death. anthony bats said that last night. he said that officers allowed crime to spike because he felt a lack of support from the commanders and he suggested that may have cost him his job. we may learn how a baby boy died in alexandria. officers went to the bragg towers extended stay hotel yesterday morning after a report of a baby boy in distress. an autopsy will be performed on the baby. the baby died a at nearby hospital. a man is accused of using the internet to solicit a teen for sex. police say the man used the internet to contact a 17-year-old boy and arranged to meet him in the school parking

lot overnight. he was arrested when he arrived at the school. a crowd of angry protesters expected to gather today outside the metro stop at tyson's corner. they're protesting virginia representative barbara comstock who they say has flip-flopped on support for the metro silver line. critics say she supports federal funding for the line. now that she faces re-election. and that she voted against the massive transportation funding bill while in the virginia house of delegates. the deputy chief of staff tells the hill, that comestock has provided more funding for metro. we'll get a look at the 100-year-old water pipes from the ground, they were built on 4th avenue in 1915. exactly a hundred years ago. wssc stopped using the pipes in the 1940s but never removed them.

just the box of tissues to nurse that broken heart. data shows that the so called broken heart syndrome is a real ailment and it can mimic a heart attack. symptoms are treatable and many have neurological or psychiatric disorders. 90% are women. it is rare that medical researchers see immediate results with a new treatment, but doctors at the university of maryland medical center are very excited of a possible breakthrough treatment for parkinson's disease. it is called mri guided ultrasound. first, an mri gives doctors an up close and personal view of the brain. then ultrasound waves are sent through part of the brain that's connected to parkinson's tremors. kimberly settler was the first to receive the treatment and the results were incredible. she was able to walk and even run after the treatment. >> it is absolutely the most incredible thing. it's turned back the clock for me, you know? i have a new lease on life. i can do things i want to do.
