heavy rain has come to an end, tracking heavy rain out of anne arundel county. i think by 8:00, 9:00, any of the showery activity will come to an end. right now we're at a cloudy 74 degrees. there's still scattered rain to contend with, but it's not going to be beneficial. no heavy rain in the forecast. by 10:00 we're dry, a temperature around 69. at midnight a cloudy 68 degrees. tomorrow will be breezy throughout the day feeling very fall-like. i'll let you know what to expect for high temperatures in about ten minutes. a tough afternoon for fans watching today's umb game. fans had to leave the stayed dwrum for about an hour because of lightning in the area. once the fans and the team came back, were the terps able to win? the answer later in sports. the search is on for a man who sexually assaulted a man outside a metro. news 4's darcy spencer is at the

wheaton station with how this man was able to slip away from police. >> reporter: that's right. there was an exhaustive search for that suspect that involved shutting down service here for three hours. despite those efforts, the guy was able to go down into the tum and he has not been seen since. let's go to the video that was released by metro. these are pictures of the suspect wearing a chicago bulls hat. he's wanted for a fourth degree sex assault on a woman outside the station last night. that's a misdemeanor charge, basically unwanted touching. as police approached him about 10:00 last night, he took off here into the wheaton station, down the platform and into the red line tunnel going toward glenmont. third rail power had to be set down to make sure he wasn't electrocuted or possibly hit by a train. twin tums are here, they run 1.7 miles long each. they had to search both of those tunnels and the emergency stairwells.

he could not be found. service was restored right around 1:00 this morning. if you know who this guy is or more importantly where he is, metro transit police would like to hear from you. live from wheaton, darcy spencer, back to you. prince william county police are working to solve their third murder of the year. a man was killed early this morning after a fight in a parking lot. this happened near old linton hall road and care ris avenue in gainesville. claude jackson iii was killed and two others were shot. one of them may not survive. police say all three of the victims knew each other, but they're not saying what the relationship is to the shooter, and nobody has been arrested. the wet weather didn't stop some of you from taking part in the nbc4 community shred. a top lawmaker in our region is seeking higher office. see what he plans to do if he gets to capitol hill. and the nypd apologized to a former tennis star for this

vegetables. >> reporter: livestock sized down for the cosmopolitan setting, and some things you might not expect. >> a new type called cannabis root ral liss. >> it's being judged, too. >> the competition was fierce. this year's d.c. state fair comes as the city has relaxed marijuana laws. residents have allowed to grow up to six plants with primary residents. the judging here had to be adjusted accordingly. it's the first contest where the product will not be consumed at all. >> these plants get judged on appearance, odor, where the stem is sick ski or not. >> just by being here, we're creating a vibe of, hey, we have an identity. yes, we grow things in the city. this fair is also about growing a sense of community. >> diverse is a very diverse, amazing community and lots of people engaged in their home and garden.

this is a great fair for that. >> reporter: derrick ward, news 4. >> while the district did relax the marijuana law, pot is not fully legal in every respect. you can go to the nbc washington app and search d.c. pot law. for details on what is and what isn't allowed in d.c. thousands are resting earlier knowing their documents won't fall into the wrong hands. thes because they unloaded their personal papers at that time nbc4 allstate shred it's vent. despite the rain, more than 3,000 cars waited in long lines at prince george's county community college. shredding documents is a way to prevent identity theft. at this' haven't, all those piles of paper will not land up in a landfill. >> the importance in prorj county is to provide a service to the community number one and to preserve the environment by shredding sensitive documents. we protect and preserve the

this season. now, impact forecast for tomorrow, despite the isolated chance in the morning, the weather having a low impact on your day. for the most part we'll start out dry with plenty of clouds. we'll have increasing sunshine throughout the day. it's going to be a little cool tomorrow. temperatures in the low to mid 70s. with the breeze, it will feel even cooler. low humidity as well. here is what you can expect tomorrow morning. the low temperature in your neighborhood, the suburbs will dip into the low 50s, and 60s. the clouds will hang on during the overnight hours and into your sunday morning. 7:00 a.m., a cool start, temperature around 61 degrees. that threat of an isolated shower only about 20% until about 11:00 a.m. temperatures around the lunchtime hour will be in the upper 60s, warm into the low to mid 70s during the afternoon hours. 73 degrees at 3:00. tomorrow evening temperature around 70 degrees.

after that it will turn chilly. humidity levels, not just tomorrow but for the next seven days also looking pretty pleasant. toward the end of the upcoming week it will start to become slightly uncomfortable as far as the humidity is concerned. of course, the redskins have the season home opener at fedex field as they take on the dolphins. tomorrow, tailgating around 70 degrees. it will be breezy at fedex field by 4:00. a comfortable 74 with a mix of clouds and sunshine. on monday, look at the high. 78 degrees we'll start off in washington with a temperature around 57. at the bus stop in the suburbs, temperatures only around 50 degrees. the most rule spot monday morning will have temps in the upper 40s. definitely feeling very fall like monday morning. by the time recess rolls around, the weather will be gorgeous, a nice breeze.
