developing now, classes at delta university in mississippi, dealtia stadeallta state, classes canceled with two professors dead. shannon lamb killed himself hours ago. he was a suspect in another murder hundreds of miles from there. the university says it is holding a vigil for the victims tonight. today, jury selection is expected to wrap up in the murder trial of a man accused of killing a d.c. police detective. antwaan james is charged with killing joseph knoll in 2013. prosecutors say james shot his stepfather several times after the two argued about mowing the lawn at their home. knolls with a d.c. police officer for more than 20 years. a sense of dismay this morning after an emotional and sometimes angry exchange over the use of police force in fairfax county. the community is challenging tthe attack in february natasha

mckenna died after officers repeatedly tased her in the process of moving her to a different jail. no law enforcement official faces any charges. wtop reports there will be a second community discussion tonight at 7:00. right now, group of advocates is just outside the district waiting to march on washington. the naacp's journey for justice started in selma, alabama, in early august. they'll reach the capital today after walking nearly 1,000 miles. they have a list of demands for congress that includes equal pay and education right and standards for the use of force across all law enforcement agencies. this morning, the prince george's county council will hear about the closing of laurel regional hospital. they will present its plan to the council at 11:30. the company decided to close the hospital and open a walk-in center for patients. county officials say the maternity ward will be the first thing to go. that's on october 11th.

hundreds of workers are losing their jobs. we're up to 70 possible cases of salmonella linked to a trendy d.c. city center restaurant. the district's department of health tells the washington post that all 70 people ate or drank there. six patients confirmed cases of salmonella. health officials collected food and environmental samples from the restaurant, but all came back negative. now conducting more tests. restaurant has been closed since last week, but hopes to reopen soon. the pope's visit gets closer, websites selling tickets to see the pontiff say they're going to stop selling them. many of the 80,000 free tickets see the pope in new york and philly are for sale. new york officials and cardinal timothy dolan say free tickets for a religious service should not be used for profit. tickets are popping up on craigslist and ebay for hundreds and some in some cases thousands of dollars. we'll have a section dedicated to all things you need to know

this morning, one student won't be returning to clarksburg high school for class. a 16-year-old was hit and killed yesterday by an amtrak train in boyds, maryland. students were all dressed in the same color to remember their classmate. derrick ward is live outside of the school with more on today's tribute. good morning. >> reporter: it is certainly expected to be a solemn day here once the school bell rings after the death of a member of the student body. student family here at clarksburg high school. it happened yesterday afternoon. sometime after 4:00 p.m. 16-year-old john martin dereggi jr. was walking along the train tracks in the 1500 block of barnsville road near the boyd's maryland marc station. walking with with other teens. police say they are still investigating why he walked on to the tracks in front of

northbound amtrak train. student body reacted immediately, on social media. there are tweets noting that this tragic loss happened and calling for condolences to be sent to the family. and asking everyone to wear blue to honor their fellow student. this disrupted traffic along the line of the marc trains were delayed for hours. investigation is still continuing and police want anyone who has information to come forward and let them know what they can -- derrick ward, news 4. developing overnight, north korea says its atomic bomb program is back on, announcing it is revamping and restarting all of its nuclear fuel production plans. yesterday, we heard about their plan to launch satellites aboard long range rockets. and all of this just cranks up the tension with the outside

world. some say this could be part of a plan to pressure washington to restart talks. it is 6:17. we continue to follow that migrant crisis overseas. this morning hungary declared a state of emergency because of it crisis. this comes one day after a new barbed wire fence was installed along the border. migrants with only enter through one of two official crossings or they'll be rested. more troops are also stationed at the border this morning. european union countries say the tougher rules are necessary as they struggle it deal with an influx of migrants. 10,000 migrants entered hungary. a crowd of 15,000 packed inside the dallas arena for his rally there yesterday. outside the arena, demonstrators protested the gop front-runner stance on immigration. as for his message about undocumented immigrants, he said

asylum so far. it is just about 6:32. a meeting today in the district where you can voice concerns about policing in your neighborhood. it is being held by the american civil liberties union. tonight's meeting runs from 6:30 to 8:30. if you want to go, go to impact hub. there is another discussion planned for thursday if you can't make it tonight. four teenagers in custody after connection to a robbery in chevy chase. this is an arrest warrant for this woman named special roper. the other suspect wanted is only 14 years old. five students charged with the death of a freshman during a hazing ritual head to court today. the five students from new york root college are charged with the death of michael dang. this happened in december of 2013 when the students were on a fraternity trip to the poconos.

the hazing ritual involved being blindfolded, weighted down with backpacks and being repeatedly knocked over in the winter time. the police commission core take over as the top cop in the city. that's what mayor stephanie rawlings-blake says she wants to see happen. kevin davis took over in july after the mayor fired anthony batts. it has been a quick move up for davis. before that, he spent time as a assistant chief in prince george's county and chief in anne arundel county. employees will keep their jobs. they will restructure the human resources to division to avoid layoffs. the 26 people who were going to lose their jobs will be reassigned to other parts of the ygs. last month, larry hogan announced he was cutting $3 million from the department's budget. high profile visitor will be in the d.c. area later today. the king and queen of spain. they will grace the grounds of

we have breaking news now in prince george's county. police say someone found a person dead overnight near a bus stop on 85th avenue. >> detectives got to the scene hours ago. kristin wright working this scene for you. what is the latest? >> reporter: 85th avenue is now back open as people in this neighborhood are waking up to news that a body was found very close by. you look here at that bus stop, that is actually where the body was found this morning. right near that bus stop. all morning long, people have been trying to catch the bus, at one point the -- we talked to a bus driver trying to bring his bus down, turn around because there is a death investigation
