word of aftershocks in chile. a 5.4 magnitude aftershock has been reported. 12 people were killed in the shake. no one was hurt in the aftershock and little damage from the aftershocks that followed the big quake. chile is bracing for more. aftershocks can be felt for months after an earthquake hits. kristin white, thank you. more on the deadly floods in utah. we're learning more. zion national park who told us the woman was found missing was found dead yesterday. she was one of seven hikers who died. in the town of hildale, they'll be searching again for a 6-year-old. and a man is missing in arizona as well. we have an update on the wildfires in california. chuck says cooler temperatures

to rest. joseph pond der was shot and killed sunday night. the man was killed after a brief standoff. ponder had just been on the job for nine months. today we expect to learn more about the actions of an army sergeant facing desertion charges. bowe bergdahl may take the stand on his second day in the military sentence in texas. bergdahl was held captive in afghanistan for five years before he was detained by severthe taliban. >> this woman is very much alive and she's asking you for help. she's the one we first introduced you to her after a nasty derecho in 2012.

harry reid on the opposite side is pessimistic and it would be irresponsible to let this happen again. there are already 40 conservative republicans who say they're not going to let this budget pass including money for planned parenthood. they want to pull that out. president obama said he would veto that and, therefore, the fight looms. they're working that out. also on the campaign trail, we heard ted cruz and others saying they d not want to pass this budget if it including money for planned parenthood. hillary clinton in a new statement says she's urging congress not to hold up the entire budget just over the money for planned parenthood. they have to start the planning process. the interior department tells us they're already starting planning in case they have to

baltimore city police baltimore county police is separate from the city where the riots broke out. the district has seen a surge in calls this summer. this year the average jumped from 3,800 calls day to 4,400 call as day. noncritical calls can tie up ambulances that could be saving lives. >> we're doing more broad public education about how and when and where people can access transportation. in some cases they need to go to the emergency room. in some cases they need to go to the doctor. in other cases we know we have a lot of calls that do not require us to send an engine and an ambulance. >> 22 new call center employees graduated from training yesterday. 11 of them will be call takers, the other 11 are dispatchers. it's the first dispatch
