ask clinton why she wasn't aware of additional requests for security and why they didn't require the closure of all the other consulates. the question on capitol hill is whether congressman paul ryan will be the next house speaker. he said he wants an endorsement from the freedom caucus. last night 70% said they would back him but not the 80% he needs. they'll vote -- the full house will vote on the next speaker one week from today. among those being called in, the union that represents the metro's front line workers as well as the group that has oversight of the transportation safety. they'll also give an update on the switch to federal oversight. earlier this month secretary anthony fox placed him under direct oversight of the federal

minutes. >> melissa, thank you. this morning a father is waking up in police custody accused of killing his 9-month-old daughter in loudoun county. it's been more than a year that she died. her father is now charged with murder. police say they arrested ellis yesterday. he told police the little girl went limp while he was feeding her. the medical examiner said the infant died of blunt force trauma to the head. a shooting near virginia state university. we know that two people were shot. one of them was killed. another was wounded. this information coming from the richmond times dispatch this morning. not a lot of information at this point about these two victim, and police right now are still investigating what exactly led up to the shooting. we're working to find that out. aaron? >> kristin, thank you. today a former d.c. pastor

should be in court. they say he sexually abused two teenage girls. two pictures led to pictures of child porn. he served with the police department for 25 years. >> this morning we're learning of a daughter's mother found murdered in her home. police have arrested this man. she says from the beginning she suspected cole who she describes as an acquaintance of her mother. >> it's really hard to think that someone who knew her as a person, how beautiful of a person she was and how much she meant to her family dwould this to her. >> right now the police will not confirm that the suspect mitchell coleman knew the victim. they tell us only one person was involved in the murder. a missing man may be in the

district. charles tie left his home near tampa in lay september and was last seen at georgetown university hospital on october 7th. police say he has several medical issues and he may be without his medication. some american students -- american university students say the school is not taking enough action against racist comments aimed at students of color. the comments are showing up on the social media sielt yik yak which a lot of students use. they call black students derogatory names and some involve slavery. they say the problems started last year. >> they held a town hall last year where they talked about it and nothing changed. >> any student i had come in contact could have easily poechlted that and caught be thinking the same thing about me. >> it's difficult to feed who's making those posts. they're teaching racial sensitivity to faculty and

average. this is it. our last day in the 70s for a while. cooler weather starts to move back in. sunday now, marine corps marathon kay. i'm getting a little more worried about a chance for showers on sunday. the good news is it won't be cold at auchlt sunday's looking on the cloudy side. if you're planning out to watch the runners, i hate giving any chance for rain on a weekend. what about today though. here's more about today. 40s and 50s out the door early this morning. a quick rise into the 60s by 11:00 and well into the mid-70s by today. we'll be dry today. there's a little weather front across pennsylvania that. will increase our clouds. our next big weather system is way out to the west. that promises a little chance for rain coming up on sunday. here's future rain.

knew she had hit someone before leaving the scene. no one saw the woman hit the woman. this is great story about a community coming together. when robbers started targeting an anacostia res straujts, the community said, not so fast. they pitched in and bought security cameras for mama's pizza kitchen. the place has been robbed five times. she received a check to help recover the lost. she never described putting barrier up between her and her customers. it -- you cannot talk to people. >> community members say they wanted to help since mama pizza often hires within the neighborhood. they also give food to the homeless and local youth groups. it always comes up.
