winston-salem state university. both are believed to be students. police are now searching for suspect jared moore. the school was on lockdown for nearly four hours. the police are searching for a suspect. eight people are recovering after a fire truck slammed into a building. this happened on ivanhoe police. d.c. fire says that one person had to be rescued and all eight people were hurt, four of them firefighters. four people who were inside a car. you can see that the car is totally destroyed and mangled here. it looks like the roof has been completely ripped off. a driver ran into another car before driving into the opposite lane. he hit a small group of trick-or-treaters on the sidewalk and went airborne into the yard of a nearby home. the driver was not seriously injured. more airlines are holding back flights. all 224 people on board were killed when it crashed. russia is now entering a national day of mourning. >> reporter: it's the worst plane disaster. nearly all russian, nearly all tourists.

their clothes scattered, krenn phones ringing in the debris. no one survived to answer. 25 were children. this was the metro jet plane, an a-321, 18 years old. it took off. it dropped suddenly and disappeared before crashing. communication has been lost, he say, but russia officials have no idea why. the aircraft was in full working old. they don't know what caused the

if you run over somebody, it's usually because you were driving too fast or you didn't look before you turned or you didn't stop for someone in the crosswalk. always be alert. pedestrians don't come with airbags. i was at my shop tied up with a customer when i realized the time. i had to get to the bank before it closed, so i made a break for it. when i got out it was almost closing time. traffic was bad. i knew i was cutting it close. but it was ok. i use td bank. it's got the longest hours and stays open an extra ten minutes every day. i'm sid. and i bank human at td bank.

welcome back this morning. we're getting photos showing where 27 people died in a romanian nightclub after a fire started there. close to 500 people stampeded for the only available exit. officials say fireworks were used inside the club. according on the club's facebook page they were pyrotechnics. romania has declared a three-day national mourning people. 156 are still in the hospital. new this morning ntsb says it has located a ship. using sonar a used navy ship has located the ship around the el faro's last known position. the ship with 33 crew members on board is believed to have sank when it ran into the hurricane. a poorly chosen halloween costume landed a soldier at ft. bragg in big trouble. get this.

eight people are recovered. firefighters were on their way to a burning home in southwest washington at the time. "news4's" derrick ward joining us live. rescuers got there just in tomb to save a person's life. >> reporter: well, indeed they did. let's take a look at this. this is a scene that's left here we're in the 100 block of ivanhoe street. this fire happened late last night, about 111::00 last night. when they got here, they found the apartment fire there. one person was displaced. one person was rescued and one person ended up in the hospital with non-life-threatening

injuries. that's bad, but that's not all that happened. take a look at this. a fire truck responding to the fire had a collision with car. we're told it was truck 15 that collided with a car. we're told that the injuries in that incident are nop-life-threatening as well, but those people are still in the hospital. investigators are still trying to find out what started the fire that prompted it all. that just goes to show the danger of fires just like this. not necessarily just on the fire scene itself but that response from the emergency vehicles trying to get there and dealing with vehicles and traffic can also put lives at risk. lucki luckily only serious injuries. no one lost their lives. >> derrick, that ivg you so much. more than 40 chipotles out west are temporarily closed because of an e. coli outbreak. health officials say at least 19 people have gotten sick in the

you can lose 100 pounds in 12 months but she said she was denied. >> it was supposed to be a powder that you drink with water and you drink it but when you get it and mick it, it congeals. it's almost like play-doh. you're supposed to be able to drink it but you can't. >> reporter: the company has a return policy but they wouldn't. >> they told me they can't give me my money back. so i filed a complaint with the better business bureau. >> reporter: and that's when the story takes a turn. after she contacted the better business bureau the company filed a lawsuit against her for thousands of dollars breaching breach of contract, defamation. she said the company even sent someone to her home. >> they blind-sided me. they had a process server outside of my house at 7:00 in the morning. >> reporter: court documents show others are involved in the same lawsuit. the company dropped the lawsuit. but the roca lab troubles were not over. it contained a gag clause prohibiting a customer to post negative comments, the very thing she complained about. the ftc filed lawsuit calling the company's clause unfair.

storms this weekend have battered parts of central texas that were already flooded. some parts of the state got nearly a foot of rain since friday. flooding roads, homes, and businesses. people are recovering from a three-car crash last night at 10:30. police say one car hit another head on at a curb and then it flipped over. a third car was not able to stop in time and police say 47-year-old fitzgerald and the other, 18-year-old joshua pack were killed. four other teens were in the car with them. they were not wearing seatbelts. drinking and speeding are believed to have led to the crash. coming up in the day ahead, family and friends will hold a vigil for the victims of the murder/suicide in prince george's county. police satan ya sullivan was killed inside her home by

antoine sullivan. after shooting his wife, police say antoine then turned the gun on himself. sullivan was a police officer with dp protective services. the two had only been married for a few months. police in colorado trying to find out why a man shot and killed three people. then got into a shoot-out with police. colorado springs police say he shot and killed the first vilk tim inside of a house. lit the basement on fire. shot the second victim who was riding on a bike and gunned down a third person outside of a restaurant. that's when he started shooting at officers and he was eventually killed by police. investigators have not released his name or a motive. all right. let's get a look at what's happening in the week ahead. tomorrow in silver spring, you won't have to find change for a meter. tuesday is election day. in laurel voters will pick a new mayor. the entire virginia assembly is also on the ballot.

a michigan mother says a police officer put her 7-year-old in handcuffs while at school. take a look at this video of the boy still cuffed. when she got to the school, the mother of the boy got a call to come to her son's school earlier this month. they say they handcuffed the boy to protect him and others. one officer said he couldn't release the child because he didn't have a key.
