some sections of the plane. the ntsb is still working on that now. a meeting today to improve some of your options for getting around town. transportation officials will get an update on measures to establish a metro safety commission. this comes after the recent announcement that the agency will take temporary oversight of the transit authority. today's meeting is open to the public and begins at noon. today three south side police officers will head to court. we're seeing video of a confrontation between police and lynwood lambert in 2013. lambert died after south boston police terraced him. officers were taking lambert to the hospital because he was hallucinating and paranoid. when they got there, he kicked the window. officers tasered him repeatedly as he lie on the ground. >> no, no.

>> lambert did not make it to the hospital. they put him back in the police car where he went unconscious. they deny claims of excessive force saying lambert was a danger. it's 4:31. right now a storm that brought strong winds and tornados to iowa is heading east. millions of people across the country are closely watching the skies today. a storm brought this heavy rain and 50-mile-per-hour winds and tornados yesterday. one of the tornados touched down at the des moines airport. tens of thousands lost power. that storm is now moving farther east and is expected to affect part os testify great lakes and expend all the way down to mississippi. 4:31.

right now we're following big developments overnight in a fight against isis. a new offensive is under way in i rachlk thousands of kurdish fires are cutting off isis's supply lines in an attempt to retake the town of sinjar. it's considered a strategic site. you might remember sinjar is why u.s. started sending air strikes after isis captured the town last year.

59-year-old bernard parker on tuesday. he then lost control and crashed just a few blocks away from his home. police went door to door in springdale yesterday alerting neighbors and offering rewards of up to $25,000 for information. the search is on for a man who tried to abduct a female student at the university of mary washington campus in virginia. this happened around 5:00 p.m. friday. the victim was able to identify the man from dmv information. right now there's a look for the man with a blue chevy truck and washington tags. 4:48 right now. a father is thankful for his family this morning after not one but two terrifying experiences. first that the call that his house was on fire, and his children were inside, and then a car accident. he flipped his car. he managed to call out of his
