take look at a growing memorial at one location that was hit in a paris terror attack. we know one has been linked to belgium. >> we also learn thad two of the seven attackers who died in paris on friday night were french men. they were living in brussels. we've got new video. we want to show you this now. this is a car. you're going to see it coming in on a tow truck and it's linked to those paris attacks. officials say gunmen armed with automatic weapons holed up in this car before they started shooting. >> it was found four miles east of the capital. three rifles were found in a volkswagen polo. >> we're learning three coordinated teams of gunmen and suicide bombers carried out the six separate attacks on friday killing 129 people, injuring another 352.

>> there is heightened security at sporting venues here in the u.s. derrick ward is standing by at fed iks field as we take a live look. but let's get the latest from nbc's barry errand right now. >> reporter: candles and hugs early this morning in the heart of paris. they came to place de la republique. there were other individual ideals at bars and restaurants where dozens died at the hands of armed men. pictures of scenes that lasted minutes. one survivor told nbc news she thought she was going to die. >> all of a sudden huge gunshots that sounded like fireworks. >> reporter: this man played

dead and then ran for his life. >> they were not stopping. they were refilling the guns, reloading the guns and they were heavily armed. >> isis says it carried out the attacks on six locations in parse. a french prosecutor said the 30-year-old french national who threw a grenade and fired into the crowd was invoking the wars in syria as well as iraq. >> near the body of the suicide bomber which was right near the national stadium. there was a syrian passport sound and somebody was born in 1990. >> reporter: the prosecutor said seven of the killers are dead. amid their tears the french very vowing to strike back against isis. french president francois hollande vowing to fight back and calling it an act of war. >> let's get over to derrick ward.

derrick, fans are going to see more security as a result of the attacks. >> it's all about making people feel safe. first off, there's no specific threat. this is out on an abundance of caution. nfl has released a statement. one of the things they say is they've encouraged people not to bring bags at all but if they must, they be clear plastic or vinyl or pc and adhere to the standard policy that they will be no larger than 12 x 6 tiemsz 12. we've seen fans with those kinds of bags. we talked with the fans about how they feel about it. >> staff and everything hire does a good job, so i'm not having any worries. >> i did have some concerns because we're in an open parking lot, so there's not a lot of

suspect riding an escalator holding a knife. the officer tried to subdue the man. then opened fire. the suspect was shot along with a woman who was standing nearby. the man was suspected in a stabbing earlier in the evening according to police. the officer involved was an off-duty officer and the woman is expected to be only. the man prince george's county say killed three people is waking up behind bars. police arrested clifford browne jr. last night. they say he shot a woman, her daughter, and another man inside an apartment. the victims are lakeysha walters, her 25-year-old daughter shaneka williams and a man james gibson. no word on why brown killed them. trains are going to start passing through the station monday morning pretty early, 4:47. it's on the fredericksburg line.

welcome back. the terror has you asking question as what does the intelligence community know about our current threat level and what can we do. >> moderator chuck todd with us. you're preparing for a special edition focused the terror attacks in paris. you know, we look at what the president says. he's coming out in full support of the french president t french president saying this is an act of war. where does that put the president? >> i talked to one of his closest national security advisers that the president concurs, this is an act of war. what does that mean? does he want to see france invoke the article 5 nato treaty. it's only been invoked once. many in france believes this is their version of 9/11. it's possible that happens. it means the united states would have to ramp up.

it's our treaty obligation. it's interesting. they're not ready to say they're changing strategies but they used the phrase intensify kalgs, that they clearly need to step things up. what that means, i think, is going to be up for debate. you're hear from the head of the counterterrorism, head of capitol hill hill about this. okay, can isis get here and a concern that, you know, french intelligence didn't have -- didn't know this was coming and is isis just because in some ways they're locally formed, this is not a command in control. it makes it that much harder to stop them. there's political ramifications but i can tell you there's a powerful powerful firsthand account of being in that theater of basically a woman who had to play dead and hide under a dead body. >> it's a horrific story and it's found its way into the race for the presidency.

last night we had the democratic debate. the three candidates standing on the stage all agree thad we need to pull other people in in this fight against isis, but did we hear any clear policy shift with any of them? >> we really didn't. it looked like hillary clinton was being cautious if not overly so. she didn't want to look like she was disagreeing with the president too much but she surprisingly was a little flatfooted, to be honest. and i think maybe she just assumed that this was herr wheelhouse and maybe it didn't matter. now, you'll see in the show. we have the clip of a focus group post debate that sort of proves her right that maybe it didn't matter. her experience is enough for democratic group. nobody raised their hand for o'malley and sanders, no matter how hard they went after clinton. now, will it matter to republican primary voters? they've been gravitating. jeb bush, when i asked him if he

life-changing medical scare, kimberly richardson decided she could no longer take the little things for granted. >> the pain was so intense, i could barely move. >> reporter: about eight years ago she had emergency heart surgery at med star washington med center. she was 23. her diagnosis, pericarditis, an inflammation of the lining that covers the heart. dr. george ruiz is the cardiologist who treated her. >> it could have been life-ending. >> reporter: as kimberly reco r recovered, she began to review her condition as a blessing in disguise. >> i really felt the lord was calling me into chaplaincy. >> reporter: kimberly decided to pursue a master's degree in divinity and last year returned to the same hospital where she was treated now to minister to those who are facing similar medical crises. >> they feel like nobody cares about them. so when they see somebody come in just to check on them and see how they're doing and can offer like a hope for their spirit, they're very encouraged.

>> reporter: kimberly works with the hospital's spiritual care department as a chaplain resident. >> we represent the caring and kind of like i guess you could say the supernatural side of things. we represent who god is. it's kind of like the hospital is the church and we're the pastors. >> reporter: and she considers the patients the parishioners. she visits with them and their families offering prayers, conversation, and sometimes just her presence. >> families need to know they have support when they're going through a crisis or tragedy. >> reporter: many medical experts see a direct connection between the spiritual and scientific. >> there's a lot about science we don't understand. there's a lot about faith we don't understand. and to me i think when both of them come together is really where the magic is. in kimberly's case, for her to be able to lean on her faith at a very difficult time proves just as life-saving as the
