of state john kerry met with hollande this morning in paris. you'll remember just yesterday president obama said in turkey there would be an intensification in the assault on isis in the middle east. next week's meeting is likely to focus heavily on what that might look like. meanwhile, french police say they arrested 16 people in paris since saturday in relation to the attacks on friday. german police have been acting on tips all over that country. they arrested five people there today. even as the government says they will not take part in air strikes in syria. belgium says they believe some of the attacks were partly organized there. they will deploy up to 300 extra soldiers to secure major cities in the country. >> france's ambassador is meeting with senators on capitol hill. mitch mcconnell and harry reid are presenting the ambassador with a signed condolence book for the citizens of france.

developments about the metro jet flight that crashed last month. 224 people died. russian investigators say they found evidence of a bomb on that plane. they say terrorists planted a homemade bomb made up of the equivalent of two pounds of tnt. in egypt, two employees of the sharm el sheikh airport were detained. egypt's interior minister, however, said that is not true and no one has been arrested. developing at bwi, security officials are questioning three men and one woman pulled from a plane this morning. chopper 4 flew over the scene. we found out a passenger told a flight attendant that one of the people was doing something suspicious. the captain ordered all four passengers off the plane. spirit airlines scheduled the plane was scheduled to leave at chicago at 6:00 took off about an hour ago. i'm kristin wright live in

arlington. work crews are still working on a pretty stubborn water main break. we got an update a couple minutes ago. crews out here have run into another problem, a leaking valve. not only that, the system under ground is old and fragile and delicate. it's going to be a while. a big job. it's going to take all day to fix a broken water main in downtown arlington. the underground pipe is broken on north courthouse road. the street is closed from route 50 to 14th. it's business as usual at the courthouse. the biggest impact now is traffic. >> at this moment in time there are no water service impacts. we're trying to work our best to make sure that water is not impacted. >> reporter: it's complicated. the pipe is broke in two places. at this point it's going on an 11-hour job. >> we have to go through a vault and cut concrete to get to the pipe to make repairs.

france is calling on european allies for help after last week's devastating terror attacks in paris. france called for financial aid as it fights isis, or for other countries in the european union to stage their own attacks. france held its second straight day of air strikes in syria. the country says fighter jets dropped another 16 bombs on the city of raqqah and destroyed an isis command center. the european union's foreign policy chief said france has been attacked, so the whole of europe has been attacked as well.

>> today we could see the number of governors refusing to accept syrian refugees grow. 19 governors so far now say they have actively opposed or will ask the federal government not to send refugees to their states. no real movement here in the washington area, despite calls from virginia republicans, terry mcauliffe has not made changes to his policy. in maryland, governor hogan said he will make a careful decision. and d.c. mayor muriel bowser said the district doesn't have a refugee office so the city wasn't accepting refugees in the first place. president obama called refusing refugees shameful. former secretary of state condoleezza rice says the united states needs to be welcoming runnito those running from tyranny. a new poll shows some virgin virginians oppose president obama's plan allowing refugees into the united states. 40% oppose the plan strongly.

new numbers out this morning. aaa says nearly 47 million americans will travel 50 miles more from home during the thanksgiving holiday. that's a slight increase from last year and making the holiday happier for many, the lowest gas prices in seven years. airfares were also down about 10%. don't panic if you hear fighter jets flying over your house later tonight.
