we're watching for developments right now as black friday shoppers swarm stores. take a look at this. sometimes, folks, it can get ugly like it did in kentucky overnight. we can show you this video. in fact, two videos showing two different fights at two different malls. we don't know if they made it or because they missed out on the major deal. tough talk for the u.s. and turkey coming from russian president vladimir putin. putin said russia will keep cooperating with the united states and its partners to fight isis in syria, but added that cooperation will be in jeopardy if there are any repeats of turkey's shooting down of a russian jet earlier this week. new at mid-day, a man killed a boy. it was in a gang shooting.

a little bit of a haze layer still out there as well, but it's a mild day. a lap around the parking lot in northwest washington. it's a glorious day to be outside. get outside and enjoy it. temperatures will be way up in the 60s, maybe closing in on 70, potentially even tomorrow. then rain chances sneak in. going out to do a little outdoor shopping today? temperatures about 59 degrees at noon, mid to upper 60s during the peek of the day and temperatures near mid-50s at 8:00. we'll start looking at the weekend coming up. >> thanks, chuck. a man who jumped the white house fence has been charged with unlawful entry. joseph caputo jumped the white house fence wearing the american flag. president obama and his family were, in fact, inside for the holiday. caputo was arrested by secret service agents after he took a few steps. his family confirmed he took a

photo of himself in front of the white house a few days earlier. this is the seventh time in two years that somebody has jumped the white house. the most serious was when omar gonzalez made it all the way into the white house carrying a knife. and then in april jerome hunt took a bus from california just to jump the fence in d.c. in chicago, major protests starting in just about an hour over the black teenager who was killed by a white police officer. a warning now, some of the video we're about to show you may be disturbing. it shows some of the incident as demonstrators are calling for the police superintendent to step down. police did put out this new dash cam video. in the video you see the officer shoot laquan mcdonald driving

animal rights activists are planning to rally against a shelter. they seize all the animals at dreamy puppy. the officers are checking to see if 40 to 50 puppies are healthy and old enough to be sold legally. county workers declared the building unsafe. so far no charges have been filed against the business. >> right now nothing says holiday like now. you're going to see familiar faces if you're heading out there. the parade is celebrating 25 years. its theme is home sweet home. there is a new weather threat to the south.

back to you. >> thanks, molette. you might see pro. ers at a d.c. walmart. that's near the union station area. demanding a living wage. the demonstrators are asking for more regular schedules and a $15 an hour pay for walmart workers. a man is in custody in the district this morning accused of committing a rash of taxi cab robberies. police arrested anthony jones on wednesday. they say he's the man responsible for eight robberies over the past eight weeks. all the robberies happened in the southeast and northwest areas of the district. detectives say he targeted drivers early in the morning and late at night. they're now looking into the possibility that he may be linked to other robberies as well. if you're heading out, plan on temperatures to be in the mid-60s and dropping back down into the mild upper 50s by 5:00

mali where two people are in custody for last week's terror attacks. two gunmen ran into a hotel last friday. they killed 19 people including a woman from takoma park. both gunmen were also killed. now, this morning police say they have arrested two people in connection to the attack, but it's not clear how they're connected. belgium lowered its terror threat thursday but the government says there's still a serious risk. the manhunt for two suspects continues near brussels and elsewhere. over a thousand raids have been carried out across europe. one of them, the mastermind of the paris attacks was, in fact, killed. this morning fairfax county police still trying to track down a man wanted for triple shooting in alexandria. they're looking for andre williams. police also seized more than a dozen items from an apartment including bullets, casings,

syringes, and pills. we now know the name of a man killed in landover. plea say someone shot davis. he was from forestville, 23 years old. police have not arrested anyone. they're offering a $25,000 award in that case. members of the california band eagles of death metal are opening up about the paris terror attacks. the group was performing at the bataclan and were about an hour into their show when terrorists stormed the concert hall. they sat down for an exclusive interview with the founder of vi vice. >> people started dropping to the ground. injuries, deaths, you know, and then also running -- there was nowhere to go, so they basically ran into me, toward me, and jumped down below my console and i was still standing up and i can see the gunman and he looked right at me and he shot at me and he missed. that that full interview is

here's what landed some in court. >> reporter: people shot outlet stores for one reason. >> it's cheaper. >> you get more for your money. >> reporter: consumers say they save big. >> you get a better deal. the outlets, it's almost like 60%. >> not everybody is sold on the hype. >> reporter: don't believe in the price tags. >> he's filed lawsuits. the lawsuits accuse michael kors, kenneth coal, north strom rack and others of fraud, claiming deceptive savings. >> they've made it up. >> the price tags look like this. a compare at or manufacturer's suggested retail price followed by a substantial savings, but since the item may have never sold at a regular retail store and made specifically to be sold at the outlet, the consumers think they're getting a better

deal than they are. >> people get excited about the discounts that they get and these manufacturers and retailers understand that very well, so the bigger the discount you think you're getting, the more likely you are to buy things. >> reporter: in court documents the retailers have denied the allegations against them, so we reached out. most said they will not talk to us about pending ligsgation. nordstrom did tell us the allegation have no merit. the retailer admits in court documents it manufacturers products to be sold only at nordstrom rack but told "news4" that its items are not lesser quality versions of an original item. michael kors initially denied the allegations. it later settled, agreeing to pay $5 million but without admitting any wrongdoing. >> in our settlement with michael kors, it no longer says msrp with a line through it. they've eliminated that and we believe they've moved to a much more clear model so that it is

you've got check this out. workers at a lumber company in japan got a wild surprise when they showed up for work. that's a bear in an office. some workers took out their cell phones, some with fully phones. it climbed on the shelves in the office. after reporting the intruder to police. the bear was about 3 feet long. they worked with local authorities to tranquilize it and take it away. no one was hurt in the bear's office visit. >> understandable. sometimes i can't bear to come to work either. outside right now we've got a great visibility in the washington area. i bring this map up for this reason here. annapolis has only four-mile visibility. a bridge was tweeted. they suspended two-way travel. there could be brief slowdowns.

today the search is on for those big black friday deals and nbc's jay gray joins us this morning from the country's biggest mall in minnesota. jay, we both got an early start this morning, but i have a feeling i would feel much better if i was out like you in a mall doing some shopping. so are you hanging in there, bud? >> reporter: i think so, erika. i'm just hanging out with some of my friends here at the mall, but they're ignoring me. they're texting or something. they're too busy for me. it's busy. we had crowds that came through in waves in the morning. it's really picked up. we're seeing a lot more people. the early results in are. guess what else? the profits seem to be going up, erika. they say shopping is real good. the spending is even better. a lot of people say they're finding big dealing in this mall and across the country. online doing well also. in fact, it's up more than 200% for some retailers.

>> reporter: the leslie family singers were back this year to herald the beginning of another adoption day this year. one of the first of its kind in the nation and i've about been lucky to be here on this day every year when the d.c. superior courthouse is filled with balloons and babies and families like the browns who came here to make it official. the adoption of their darling new daughter, ella. one by one the families came forward. some adopting one. some adopting one more. some taking home two. and one family going home with enough for their own basketball team. five siblings that the new parents wanted to keep together and be for those five their forever family. and all the family court judges who work here at the superior court were waiting for them, waiting to sign their decrees of adoption. and someone else who works here, someone who has helped put this

event together for the last 14 years was here this time for a different reason, becoming a mom for the first time, adopting daar. this was more than 12 years ago when daar, a wednesd"wednesday'" was a bright eloquent 9-year-old who told me he just wanted to have family to love him. he's 22 now and after two years as his mentor and a year as his foster mom, leah girl it was becomes the mother of a young man who is now a senior at penn state. >> always dreamed they would be here at adoption day but i didn't know i would be here at such a late age. >> better lan than never. >> better late than never and i have a great mom. >> reporter: it was a day to rejoice and let go of the woes of what seemed would never happen and to celebrate a new day.
