university after an armed man drove onto campus causing a lockdown. brad bartelt posted that he was homicidal. he had gasoline and propane with him. police were able to take him into custody without firing any shots. bartelt was a former student at one of asc's campuses. an assistant director in charge of the fbi los angeles office said divers are looking for a computer hard drive missing from one of the homes of the suspects. thursday was the day of searching lake see come, three miling from the shooting. it could take several days. one of the arms linked to the terror attacks was linked

maryland stadium. some say byrd had racist views. it's sentencing day for a woman who embezzled more than $380,000 from her employer and the properties she managed. lorraine sear also faces tax evasion and wire fraud charges in the district. she pled guilty earlier this year. court documents show she spent the cash on casinos and shopping. the sentence could include both jail time and financial penalties. new this morning more than 150 refugees from syria are in toronto. the government flew them there on a military airplane that tumbled down overnight. justin trudeau greeted the refugees in person. the government plans to resettle 25,000 refugees over the next few months. major change in the fight over gun control. the stating state being the first to ban it.

no one was hurt in yesterday's possible tornado. students did temporarily shelter in place inside the school. two businesses were evacuated and sustained pretty serious damage. today the board of resubsequents will decide if byrd stadium should be renamed. in a few hours the board will take a vote and "news4's" molette green will have more on why there is a push to change the name. mollet? >> reporter: good morning, erika. we're expecting in just a few hours the vote on the difficult and emotional issue for a lot of people connected to this university. that's when the university board of regents meets as you said and takes up this proposal to rename byrd stadium. this push comes from the top there. the university president, the current president wallace low citing the president racist. they recommend sending it to maryland stadium. if approved h.c.'s contributions

"news4's" transportation report reporter melissa mollet will emcee that event. some were upset over relocating a mosque in fredericksburg. a meeting turned hostile. one man was repeatedly interrupting the presentation. that starts at 7:00 in the auditorium at river bend high school. we went into the community to talk with muslims who live in our area and they tell us they're experiencing an anti-islam backlash. some children are getting bullied at school. police officers listened to their concerns in montgomery county last night. one woman told us she's worried about her son. >> he feels quite marginalized.

in fact, some of the kids in the school are naming him as isis. >> police also alerted the community to incident this month and a possible hate e-mail investigation. a school chief wants more money. last year his budget led to a pretty bitter dispute and this year he's asking for more. he proposed a $2 billion budget during his state of the school meeting last night. he wants smaller class sizes for kindergarten through second grade, a specialized program, and raise teachers' salaries. a developing story. a second man now in custody. matthew slon ski was hit by a stray bullet. andre dudley was arrested yesterday. he's now charged with second-degree murder and police had named him a person of

interest. marcus king, as you may remember, was also charged in the murder. there are no new clues in the disappearance of relisha ru rudd. rudd disappeared in march 2014. kahlil tatum, the man who was with her committed suicide. this happened in charlottesville. the charlottesville officer said he was in his cruiser when the man pointed the laser at his face. the officer spotted the man in the car across the street, pulled him over, and charged him. a major break in the murder of a young woman in spotsylvania county. police now have 21-year-old heather ciccone's cell phone. the cell phone has critical messages and phone calls in the

>> thank you. human error may be to blame for a commuter train that took off without a driver. transportation officials say employees quickly realized a six-car train was moving without a driver. they were able to slowly turn off all the power along that line of track there. none of the passengers, 50 on board, was hurt, but the operator of the train did get hit. david vazquez is a 28-year veteran. he is expected to recover. a very bad stench in a baltimore apartment lead to dozens of snakes. how many? about 66. uh-huh. they came in all different sizes. one over ten feet long. many of them extremely ill. animal experts worked last night to nurse them back to health. the baltimore animal and care rescue said they've taken in snakes before, just never this many. they hope to find them all permanent homes.
