be with us on "news4 today." and when is the best time to leave and melissa will talk about any accidents or backups that might get in your way. new tonight, the family of a d.c. teenager says he's never been in any kind of trouble and don't know why anybody would want to kill him. jose ochoa was just 17 years old and somebody stabbed him sunday near the rec center on 8th street northwest. >> reporter: good evening. jose's family is absolutely devastated. think about it. this is christmas week and he was gone. he was well liked behind me at paul public charter school on northwest 8th street and murdered not too far away. moments ago we talked to his sister. let's hear what he has to say. >> i'm very sad because i really loved my brother?

>> reporter: she mourns her brother. >> he's all i had and now i have nobody to look over me. >> reporter: he was stabbed to death on 8th street northwest around 5:30 sunday evening. a student at the charter school and good student and football player recently accepted to two colle colleges. >> jose was a great kid. we didn't have any behavioral issues. he worked hard. >> reporter: did your brother have any enemies? >> no. >> reporter: jose met a girl a week ago and were texting each other and agreed to meet at this park at pet worth recreation center and she showed up with two people and they found his body over here. >> reporter: police are talking to the girl and investigating. if somebody knows who stabbed your brother to death, what do you want them to do? >> to call the police. i really want to know what

sho shooting. police say they found a bullet in a wooded area behind rock terrace school and home it will lead them to the person who fired several shots in the area last night. some of those shots hit a woman while she was driving. police think somebody may have been illegally hunting deer in the residential area. >> he didn't tell his family here he was in afghanistan because he didn't want them to worry. now, the worst fears of staff sergeant's peter taub's family have been realized. we learned today taub was one of six american airmen killed when a suicide bomber drove into a patrol near bagram air base in afghanistan. taub's mother and brother own bob and pop's and his father who lives in philly said they never expected those happen to his family. >> it's the first attack americans have had in quite a while. to it have happen to my son, i

can't get my head around it. >> staff sergeant taub was married with a 3-year-old daughter and another baby on the way. bub and pop's will stay closed until further notice. also killed in that attack was major adriana, the first openly gay female officer t be killed in combat. and sergeant joseph lemm had been on three combat tours and this sergeant on his fourth combat tour and staff sergeant michael cinco was the youngest victim, just 28 years old. here at the live desk, we just got our hands on the criminal complaint that alleged one man hacked hundreds of e-mail accounts and stole hollywood script social security security numbers for private

videos. he's being hailed after they busted his hacking schemes. he sold scripts for unreleased tv shows for 80,0$80,000 and th asked the undercover agent what else are you interested in? just movie scripts? or what else? the possibilities are unlimited. not the first time it happened. someone broke into jennifer lawrence's apple account and posted it on the internet. the complaint said he was able to send a virus to the victim's computer and that aloud him access to all their files. >> thank you, chris. some gun rights advocates accuse him of declaring war on the second amendment. today, virginia's attorney general will no longer recognize concealed weapons permits for more than two dozen states with laws more lenient than

virginia's. saying it allows alcohol's and convicted felons to carry guns. the changes take effect february 1st. a lot of packages are stolen this time of the year. one case really stands out. we have new video of man who stole a newly delivered package from a police station. the kicker is why he was there in the first place. >> the video from december 17th shows a delivery man dropping off a package at the western district police station. he leaves it in front of this door to a restricted area. on the right side of the screen in a waiting area sits a man in a camouflaged jacket aidfi fiid by police as 53-year-old rhoden of lofton and he walks over and picks it up. the security cameras shows leonard leaving the police

station walking to the parking lot towards his car and then he chose to do something unusual, chose to come back to the police station. police say that's because leonard was at the station waiting to be processed to renew his sex offender registration, all of which leaves everyone who hears this story shaking their head. >> i really don't know what to make of that. it's a special, special person. >> that's why you call them stupid criminals. >> it certainly makes the police's job a whole lot easier. >> this sign has now been posted at the police station. >> reporter: police had leonard's address because he is registered. they went to his house, found the package and wrought brought here and returned it to its rightful owner and charged leonard with theft. a local university changing the life of a 13-year-old girl and bringing her mother to tears. still to come, how a 3d printer gave this virginia teen

>> you are seeing and hearing a drone flight. we're doing it inside our studio because in so many parts of our area, it's illegal to fly these things outside. they nevertheless are more popular. 700,000 drones will sell this year alone. half of them during the holiday season, which means the skies are about to get much more crowded. >> it's a view unlike any other. brian needle recording over great falls middle of summer with his brand new drone. >> had a great time about 20 minutes and then all hell broke loose. >> a u.s. park police helicopter was nearby patrolling. >> we didn't see the helicopter until it came right at us. >> new zealand sedle says he wae drone along the tree line above the falls. >> and they went atop of me and started pushing down. >> he isn't alone. an investigation showing about two dozen air scares between police and drones since 2014.

last october a drone came close to a prince george's police helicopter a quarter mile from the city airport there. we found it to be a growing problem from coast to coast getting too close to firefighting aircraft and planes flown to stop wildfires and save lives. >> a very critical risk. >> they reported close calls with drones including in california in july. >> we're literally talking about life and death situations here when folks do stupid things. >> u.s. forest service records showing several cases firefighters had to detour or ground their planes because the drones were dangerously close. tom harbor of the u.s. forest service said they have no choice. >> we're not going to kill somebody over some improper use of a drone in that airspace.

>> wrong space wrong time. >> one of the drones torched malcolm's car. you can see it burning there and what's left here. he says drone operators put his home and neighbors at risk, too. >> something has to be done about it before there's a real disaster. >> reporter: police and fire response teams aren't the only people affected. the i-team found drones over the monday night football game and dulles and other airports and they want people to register their aircraft to keep tabs of people flying. >> it's hard around here. >> reporter: they have already declared all of d.c. a no-fly zone indefinitely and issued brian needle a $70 fine for getting too close to the police helicopter. he said he is still flying but cautiously. >> just don't know what the story is what's okay and what's not. >> reporter: with hundreds of

help in fog development. we still have a lot of cloud cover. temperatures 58 degrees, winds out of the south 1-5 miles an hour. very winter storm temperatures but you can see where they're cooler. to the west of the blue ridge, only in the 40s here. we did see some clearing and because of that we've seen fog developing a third of a mile visibility in winchester, quarter of a mile in martinsburg and cumberland and everybody east no problems with fog. heads-up for that tomorrow morning. dense fog advisory in frederick county, maryland and virginia. and the blue ridge area is where we could see the best chance for fog. give yourself extra time. >> and the rain will be here by 6:00, 7:00, 8:00.

you see the showers making their way from a strong system to the south. follow the clouds here, all the way down from mexico to the pacific ocean. that's where the warm air is coming from. the pacific ocean from the gulf of mexico to the southeast all the way up to maine. incredible warmth this time of year and the reason it's coming from the tropics. 7:00 a.m., here comes the rain, some could be heavy at times right during that morning commute. even around 11:00, we will still see rain. periods of rain and not a steady brain a rain all day and when it comes down, comes down fairly heavily. we may get a break at 9:00. we could see a rumble tomorrow reng reng -- tomorrow evening as this storm comes through. what do we wear tomorrow? we have the raincoat and
