from the shopping malls to the airport and we'll start in the storm center with meteorologist amelia segal. >> chris, we had record warmth at all three airports today. don't let bwi and reagan national all hit 71 degrees. christmas looking to be one of the top five warmest we've had on record. here's the latest right now on storm team 4 radar. for most of us it's dry and it's muggy and it will stay like that for your christmas eve. currently at 64 degrees and hang out in the mid-60s as we work our way toward the midnight hour and mine an isolated shower in parts of southern maryland and for most of us it will be warm and dry. as we work toward midnight areas of fog will start to form and not so much an issue tonight if you're going to be out late, but tomorrow morning we will be tracking areas of dense fog and that could impact road conditions especially north and west of town in the more rural areas. tomorrow especially later in the day, tracking some rain. i'm going to have more on the timing of this rain and what

kind of temperatures we can expect for the holiday weekend coming up in a little bit, chris. >> thanks, amelia. the death toll has risen to 11 with a lot of other people hurt or missing after storms swept across the south. with a dozen tornadoes swept mississippi and left hundreds homeless for the holidays. how people are coping and a live report in a few minutes. >> the severe thunderstorms are causing hundreds of flight delays. derrick ward is live at reagan national airport. how are travelers making out there? >> reporter: you know, we're not see anything big surge of crowds. i think it's been more constant especially because the federal government had an early release today, but we are seeing people despite those favorable conditions and we're seeing folks having trouble getting from point a to point b especially if point a is to the south of here. >> some happy travelers, they just can't wait to get southbound for their florida keys christmas tradition. >> we will have an awesome

money and the feds say de'anthony started dipping that money for a shopping spree. executing a scheme to use company funds and watercraft and a recreational vehicle and home decor items and landscaping for his home, use company money for, and alexandra to wire fraud and faces 20 years when sentenced next year. de anthony intended to pay the money back. >> in this particular case he warrant trying to conceal anything. it wasn't a situation where he was trying to conceal to see, you know, take money, but he found himself making large purchases out of the company funds and it looks extremely bad. >> but the feds say de'anthony did try to conceal his scheme. it was the employees suffering. they said deanthony's crime caused irrepable damage, hurting

workers' retirement funds and costing employees raises and bonuses, but this isn't the first case of its kind this holiday season. another local business manager, donna jennings, manager of a credit union pled guilt guilty for embezzlement for using personal items, personal shoppingy spree items and risking the stability and the soundness of the credit union. >> herndon suffered an each bigger loss up to $3 million because of the crime de anthony. stop paying restitution. scott macfarlane, news had. firefighters -- the hole itself is about 4 feet wide and they're

maing sure after a carbon monoxide linked two buildings that were evacuated after an alarm went off and firefighters found a high reading in a boiler room there. a few patients were evaluated and no one was taken to the hospital. a man charged with selling marijuana in the district is putting his return on hold for the holiday. cunningham calls himself kush god and insists what he's doing is legal. he hands out marijuana-laced brownies and gummies on the street, but technically only asks for cash donations. police say he's still a drug dealer. cunningham pleaded not guilty wednesday and immediately promised to go back to business today, but last night the kush god tweeted he won't start selling again until saturday. >> he dodged bullets, but could not evade capture. police just identified jonathan webb as the man who led them on a briefcase in fort washington. they say he flashed a gun when officers went to question him on clarion court. an officer hired at webb, but he

conditions for our christmas eve and as you guys mentioned the biggest concern overnight, but especially tomorrow morning is going to be areas of fog. here's the latest on storm team 4 radar. any rain i was tracking in southern maryland has push off to the east and the line of showers that was in loudoun and parts of montgomery and parts of frederick county has fizzled out. so 99% of us are dry tonight. the best chance of an isolated shower is going to be in parts of southern maryland and the big focus remains the temperature and 64 degrees right now and we'll hang out in the mid to low 60s. around midnight areas of fog start to form and here's tomorrow morning at 6:00 a.m. and you can see visibility is a concern in gaithersburg, leesburg, manassas and culpeper as well as baltimore and fogginess burns off by 10:00 a.m. and most of the day is being looking dry tomorrow and a better chance of showers on saturday, chris and i'll have more on the shower potential coming up in my full forecast.

amelia, we not have a white christmas, but mark segraves was able to find some snow right here in downtown washington. >> it may not feel like christmas eve, but some people in town are doing what they normally do this time of year, ice skating and yes, we did find snow here at the national gallery skating rifrpg around the national mall. it's just ice shavings from the skating rink, but it's good to make snowballs. >> it's great. i'm loving it and just having a good time and i've got my towel. >> we found a lot of people sweating on christmas eve and not because they were still shopping and all of a sudden there's a heat wave and you can feel these pockets of heat waves roll over you and our glasses are fogging up and we have to wait, clean off our glasses and it's insane, this is great. >> rather sweating, you know? this is great. >> it's crazy. growing up it's always been really cold and snowing and this year it's 70 degrees and it's crazy to think it's christmas eve already.
