just near 50 by the end of the game. winds will be gusty throughout the game coming in out of the north and west. there are clouds. you can see shafts of sunlight pouring down from washington. a live view. a look at big changes on the way over the next 24 hours in the week ahead. that's coming up this next half hour. >> all right. it's definitely going to be a shirt there. new this morning. the powerball jackpot, it's rising. it's now up to $1.3 billion. and although there was no big winner last night's drawing, a ticket in maryland, also in virginia. it was sold. a $1 million ticket. so two lucky people there. that virginia ticket was purchased in suffolk and wednesday's drawing of 1$1.3 billion will be the biggest in history. >> it's unbelievable. it's sweeping the country at this point.

developing this morning we learned of new information about a deadly pedestrian accident in upper marlboro. a woman was found lying on pennsylvania avenue. it's not clear how she died or what killed her but police say the medical examiner is working to determine who she is. in a show of force, the u.s. flew a nuclear capable b-52 bomber over south korea. it claims it successfully tested a hydrogen bomb. it's highly disputed. tomorrow the underground walkway will be shut down to make way for the silver line extension. shuttle buses are now going to take passengers from their cars to the main terminal. the future silver line stadium will connect the under ground walk way to the main terminal. that could take up to two years.

congress just voted to label genetically engineered salmon; why not other foods? gmo crops are doused with heavy doses of an herbicide the world health organization says probably causes cancer. isn't that reason enough to label? 64 other countries label gmos. why don't american shoppers have the same information? tell your senator, high tech gimmicks like qr codes aren't the answer. we need clear on-package labeling.

during president obama's last state of the union, concerns over terrorism will be center stage. he's invited a refugee to attend. a 55-year-old will sit in michelle obama's box for thursday night's speechlt he drew international attention last month after he was featured in a popular blog, humans of new york. it creates a sharp contrast to republicans who want to block refugees because they might try to sneak in as refugees. we're not the only ones setting records. check it out. britain hit its biggest nag at lottery prize this weekend at 66 million pounds. that's about $96 million.

away. as the day progresses, a little bit of sunshine coming out. the winds are going to blow dry the roads. want cquantico is up to 62. so is pax river. 58. shenandoah valley. out in the mountains cold air there there in the 30s. that cold air coming in. if you're going to be running, you may be dodging some puddles lingering from the rain. the winds will be gusting as temperatures climb into the low 60s by early afternoon. then drop back down to the mid-50s by late afternoon. then all the way down to near 30 degrees by dawn on monday when you're waiting for the school bus and the metro and it will be cold in the morning with a blustery wind. mid-30s by 9:00 with bright sunshine and then monday afternoon it should be right around 40 degrees. but at the fitness expo be sure to join amelia seagal and myself. we will be there at 12:30 to answer all questions. it's at the d.c. convention

consequences. ethan is currently being held in a mexican jail awaiting extradition. well, a walk through the streets of alexandria today gives a glimpse of what the streets looked like in the 18th century. >> that's right but a new discovery on the waterfront gives a hint at how the city grew. >> reporter: the languad along alexandria's waterfront is known to hold keys to the city's past but even this discovery came as a bit of a surprise. >> this is the last corner of the construction site we were working in when we found it. it was like, oh, my gosh, there it is. >> reporter: a ship's hull believed to be part of the late 1800s. archaeologist john mullins began ska vating the site last september. >> reporter: the unusual thing was not just how big it was but how heavily constructed it was.

it's a ship built for heavy cargo and extremely heavy cargo or it my might have been a fortified military ship. >> reporter: this land is rich with history. in a separate corner, remains of a warehouse built in 1755 were unearthed along with bits of popery and glassware. each layer offering clues to how people lived in the city as it evolved. it is really the beginnings of our town. it's where it all happened in the 18th century. >> do you anticipate more discoveries like this. >> yes, we do. we can't wait. >> the ship now dismantled will be stored and studied where it will end up hasn't been determined. what do you most enjoy about doing this? >> it's just a pure discovery of finding all this stuff. reconstructing the entire story, putting archaeology with the history and documentary

developing this morning. before his capture, drug king joaquin el chapo guzman met with actor sean penn. he was also interviewed by "rolling stone" magazine. they were there to meet with guzman. they delayed an arrest attempt to make sure the actors were not harmed. the cartel leader was captured friday morning in a deadly shoot-out. when you're a person that's used to getting so much attention not only from the law enforcement, the media, and the entire country, really the entire hem is feerks would encourage anybody to think a little more highly of themselves. >> right now guzman is held in the same maximum security prison he broke out of six months ago. dc police are investigating their first homicide of the year. joseph robinson was killed on friday night. still no word on a possible

the annapolis yacht club will temporarily relocate after the devastating fire. the harbor grill restaurant employees will lose their jobs. they can be relocated to another location or take two weeks severance pay. the reconstruction is expected to take a year and a half. well, today is all about the washington redskins. >> that's right. reports of multi. accidents this morning. people sliding on the wet pavement. temperatures right now near 60 degrees in washington. subu suburb, low 60s. east is at 63 degrees while winchester is at 46 and out of the mountains it's in the upper 30s and some of the cold air is coming in. if you're getting a run in before the game, maybe dodging some puddles, the temperatures will be in the low 60s by early in the afternoon. the wind will be drying though. just clouds coming and going and then we clear out tonight. temperatures plummet all the way down to the low 30s by dawn on monday. so a 30-degree drop and then by mid-morning, still a bit of a blustery wind gusting around 20 miles an hour. then later today, head on out to the d.c. convention center. it will be the "storm team 4" q & a session.
