shot in the face with a pellet gun on new hampshire avenue. police say for some unknown reason, the person shot at the car with a pellet gun. it hit the driver in the face. he was taken to the hospital but is expected to be okay. police are investigating the shooting. also developing this morning, 13-year-old virginia girl kidnapped earlier this week is dead. nicole lovell went missing wednesday night. investigator found her remains yesterday in north carolina. 18-year-old david eisenhauer from columbia, maryland is charged with her murder. police arrested eisenhauer who goes to virginia tech. they have not disclosed the relationship between eisenhower and lovell. president hal candidaial ca out in full force this weekend. donald trump and hillary clinton lead their parties in polls. steve handelsman has more.

the family of a man who died just feet from a d.c. fire station wants to make sure no one suffers the same fate as their father. 77-year-old medrick mills jr. died two years ago this month. firefighters refused will help for mills. they said 911 needed to be called before they could respond. the mills family says that similar incidents still happen to this day and that needs to stop. >> how many more times does this have to happen, guys? you have a brand new fire chief. it's still happening.

are working so hard on. trying to unite the evangelical wing of the party. if they're united, he wins. and rubio looking to piece off pieces of a lot of different candidates. he seems to be just better second choice for people than a first choice and that's another thing that you could see some movement based on little differences based on the polling. >> with the caucus, you need people to show up and it looks like you might have brought the weather with you to iowa. they're talking about a snowstorm on monday. >> well, you now the storm is slowing down. but i can tell you you this, if there is a storm, if this blizzard hits tomorrow night, good news for cruz and perhaps clinton. the party stalwarts are the ones most likely to show up. if the weather is nice and actually all the forecasts seems to think that this blizzard is coming tuesday and not monday,
