not see anything at all from this. the closer you are at 95, you'll have a better chance farther south and east. here's all the moisture moving up from the south. those two will meet over our region and produce at least some snow over the next say, 6, 7 hours. but that's going to be about it. temperatures, 43 right now. even if it was to fall as snow, the temperatures so warm, it wouldn't be able to stick. >> we focus on a pocket of. >> southern maryland. take a look, pax area, we'll drop another five degrees by early morning, but still well above freezing.

>> even without sound, the brutality and the terror of the victim comes through loud and clear in this video provided by fairfax county police. the owner was alone inside sophia jewelers monday just after 10:00 a.m. as he was setting up his display cases, two men entered the store. despite temperatures in the 50s, both were wearing sweatshirts with the hoods pulled up. they pretended to browse the jewelry. and then, one man put a large knife. they dragged the terrified wo worker into a back room. he tried to close the door of the safe but failed. one robber held a knife to the man's throat while the other started scooping things out of the safe. even after one ran out with the valuables, the store owner continued to struggle with the other robber who slammed him on the ground. anyone who recognizes a man in

today in a prince george's county courtroom. brothers of suspected killer johnson spoke to the judge not to voice support but disappointment and dismay. the judge then ordered johnson held without bond for the murder of his daughter, chlowe and mother, deshante davis. anger is building only line. outside court, one of johnson's brothers got into it with someone over an instantgram post. >> someone showed up to say good-bye to a 13-year-old girl who was stabbed to death last weekend. so many showed up, they spilled out into the parking lot of the funeral home and over to an office building next door. nicole's body was found in north carolina saturday. prosecutors say virginia tech students plotted together to kill level. they say the pair bought cleaning supplies and a shovel before stabbing her and putting her body in the back of a lexus.

keefers was denied bail today. >> for the first time, we're hearing from the man in charge of a loftus school district. tonight, he spoke to mark s seagraves and he joins us now with the story. mark? >> reporter: hey, good evening. if all goes as planned, jack smith will take over montgomery county schools next summer. until then, he'll keep his current job, the interim superintendent for state schools in maryland. a lot of people think that that position will serve the county well. but the job before that in calvert county that caught some concern. jack smith was introduced tonight after the county school board voted unanimously to name smith as their pick to lead the school system. he says he'll spend the next five months learning.

tonight's event benefitted two local charities with a clothing drive. the superior court's chief judge says it's important for judges to connect with the community. >> we see people in and out of court every cay. day. and we know that people need clothing returning from prison to go out and get jobs and things like that. so a couple of judges came up with this idea. >> if you want to see a list of the judges who won and what they've prepared, open our app and search top judge. >> that's a cool idea. >> we've got our own top chef down at the courthouse. so it sounds like we might want to get up early tomorrow morning if we've got to commute through this mess? >> if you live north and west of i-95, sleep-in, don't even set the alarm -- no, i'm just kidding. you're not going to get anything north and west. soit and east of 95, you've got some issues, potentially, early tomorrow morning.

take a look outside right now. 43 degrees. so snow was to start falling now, it would not be sticking on the roadways. but notice our wind out of the northwest at 16 miles per hour. that's starting to bring in that colder air. i'll show you that in just a second. martinsburg, 43. d.c., over towards annapolis. now, what we're going to continue to watch for is that colder air to move on in. and all of this rain will eventually change over to snow. you can see where the rain is around annapolis right now. down towards leonardtown and the fredericks burg area, around king george. all of this moving up to the north and east. but you notice, i-95, south and eastward. to the west, martinsburg, winchester, lurae, you will probably not see anything at all from this storm system. maybe just a few snow shoi you ares to the west. you can see what's happening. here's the very mild air out in front of them. also, very wet and rainy conditions. here comes the cold air. you can see it in the form of snow.

these two will meet over our region and it will change other to snow by around the 1:00, 2 cloek hour. here's future weather taking you in by about 12:30. over towards ae annapolis, nothing arnold d.c. this is the latest model, by the way. 1:30, you start to see it pushing in across our region. look at the snow by early tomorrow morning. around 6:00 a.m. right through d.c., south and eastward. you may see some snow showers, but, again, you'll wake um. you won't notice much of a difference. south and east, however. i think you have a better chance. even by 8 cloek, this could be an issue. especially along 301, maybe 895. but along 301, maybe route 4. so, again, south and east of 95, give yourself time tomorrow morning. that's where the winter weather advisory is. down towards waldorf, and chaurmsz county. st. mary's county until 10:00

a.m. it won't last until 10:00 a.m. it will actually last through about 7 orr 8:00 a.m. but this is what we're expecting. light coating, possible. mostly on the grassy surfaces arnold d.c. up to an inch, annapolis, waldorf, fredericksburg. this is a very tough system to forecast. again, this moves to the west just about 15, 20 miles, and we get an inch in d.c. but i koent think that's going to be the case. i think we will be dealing with most of this down to the south and east of i-95. but here comes the other one. 45 degrees on saturday, 50 on sunday. a great weekend. but then more cold air moves in. 44 on monday. we start to see a chance of a shower and then it changes over to some snow, i think, on tuesday. and i do think we have a good chance now of seeing some accumulating snowfall coming up on tuesday. this is going to be a big one? no. but there's a chance that we could seed our yards covered in snow again. >> again. >> thank you, doug. i'm glad you're back.
