so this made for a frightening night for one arlington teenager. he told police another teen tried to stop him thursday night. and the suspect admitted it was part of a gang initiation. the victim is was walking through quincy park near arlington central library when he was approached by another teenager who had a knife. the victim was able to fight back. some residents say they're not really surprised it happened in that park. >> i wouldn't be surprised at all. it's decolluded. a lot of traffic. it's secluded. >> some organized crime such as gangs. >> so that park is in the boston area near a baseball area used by washington lee high school. new details in the horrific machete attack in ohio. something found in the representing station of the car driven by

triggered an fbi alert. police have not said what that information is. we know it sparked a local terrorism task force to get involved. the suspect pulled out a machete and went on a rampage inside an hour restaurant. four people hurt, one in critical condition. police killed the man five blocks from the scene. they still don't know why he did it. we have to show you this video from international feeds. a mom and toddler rescued from a car right there that plunged into a canal in sister dam. four people jumped in and braved the icy waters. the mom had parked her car near the canal but it started moving. she couldn't get out before it hit the water. we do know mother and toddler taken to the hospital. but both expected to be okay. that is frightening, absolutely frightening.
