welcome back at 6:09. it looks like fairfax county schools may still be in need of funding. according to the "washington post", dr. karen garza asked for a county transfer of $1.95 billion. that would be enough to cover a significant portion of the proposed $2.7 billion overall budget. the $1.88 billion in local funding in the county plans for the 2017 year. dr. garza is asking for higher teacher salaries, school bus improvements and smaller class sizes. a bill that passed the house on friday is now heading to the
