they prepare to vote on a massive new project today. here's what it means for your commute. >> rosslyn is growing. and it's likely about to grow some more. an almost forgotten section of rosslyn dripping with worn out concrete and confusing side streets is a target area for the huge new project. it sits directly across from roosevelt island. the plan calls for seven buildings on this side of rosslyn to go away. in their place, five new buildings would go up. they would have one spectacular view of downtown d.c. >> 2 million square feet of space. it is probably over a 20-year-period or so. it wouldn't all be done at once. but looking at a park. right now it is hard to walk. it's hard to get along. people get lost. people get confused. we will break that up and have open spaces for people. >> i think it is really needed. there is no place to go.

good morning. i'm storm team 4 meteorologist tom kierein. you're looking outside seeing clouds thinking, hey, is it going to rain? we don't really have any rainfall. we did have one line of sprinkles across northern virginia. after they crossed the potomac, they pretty much have dissipated. a few sprinkles near takoma park and college park. heading off north and east, just briefly coming auto through. a good afternoon to get out and do a bike ride. by 2:00, low 60s. and then maybe a few more sprinkles between 4:00 and 5:00 as we drop back down into the upper 50s. a look at a greater rain chance sunday and big changes for the week ahead in a few minutes. >> thank you very much, tom. winter is definitely not of for all of us. take a look at the mess on the road near the sierra mountain range in northern, california.

good morning. gray and cool saturday morning. i'm storm team 4 meteorologist tom kierein. a look at how much longer this cool march weather will last in a few minutes. >> thank you. it's 9:14. a final vote that would stiffen the bills bill for drunk driving. the bill is named after montgomery county police officer noah leotta. he was killed by a suspected drunk driver last year. it would require lock devices for all those convicted of a dui i team first reported on a teacher at langry high school who quit his job amid allegations of misconduct on a trip with students kwrooverseas. the teacher is also accused of disappearing with nearly $18,000 of parents's money. scott macfarlane has the details. >> reporter: it has already cost him his teaching license.

prevent sex assaults particularly on college campuses. virginia general assembly passed three new bills. they will train police on sexual assault investigations and improve the handling of physical evidence in those investigations. the changes are personal for jill harrington, whose son morgan was killed in one of two high profile cases. >> if they had been in place in 2009, morgan and hannah would be alive. those two lives would have been saved. >> earlier this month, jessie matthew jr. pleaded guilty to killing morgan harrington and hannah graham. he will spend the rest of his life in prison. virginia lawmakers are trying to make it easier for victims of doic

legislation this week allowing people with protective orders to carry a gun for 45 days and expediting their license applications. the governor opposes the legislation saying he wants to require victims to have an in-person safety training course and certification from a judge before being allowed to carry a weapon. some metrobuses will get a bit of a makeover. as early as next week they will feature budweiser ads. budweiser signed a contract to ads for bud light on the side of 25 metrobuses. the transit agency is continuing to look for new ways to raise revenue outside of the fare box. where should you actually stand on the metro platform if you're trying to catch the train? metro is trying to make it easier to find out. the transit system installed yellow and black decals at four main connector stations to mark the end of a six-car train.
