it happened wednesday at sidwell friends. megan mcgrath is there live for us. >> reporter: that's right, police are confirming that they're looking into an alleged sexual assault complaint involving two students from the sidwell friends upper school. according to police, a female student says that she was forced to have sex with a fellow student without her consent. this happened after school on wednesday. she filed a police report several hours later around 11:00 that night. that police report says that two teenagers do know each other and that they have had a previous sexual relationship. the school e-mailed us a statement last night saying it is the long standing policy of sidwell friends school to cooperate fully with any law enforcement investigation. it is also our policy not to comment on such investigations. now, the investigation continues,

at this point there is no word of any charges or arrests. reporting live in northwest, megan mcgrath, news 4. schools in the district are warning parents about attempted abduction s according to the "washington post," at least three schools september letters to parents warning about a man in a vehicle. police say there have been no complaints reported. the school system spokeswoman says information in the letters came from concerns raised by parents. gates are set to reopen at the national zoo american trail after an explosion yesterday morning. zoo officials say a contractor was working in a mechanical room when he smelled chlorine. he left the area and then there was a loud bang. there was no smoke or fire and no injuries to people or animals. the cause is still under investigation. 6:04 now. a man is dead after a medical emergency on a

metro told news 4 that a man was taken off of a blue line train at the foggy bottom station last night and then pronounced dead at gw hospital. metro says there was no sign of foul play. service was impacted for a short time. developing right now, investigators want to know who sent a suspicious letter to donald trump's son. he received a piece of mail with a white powdery substance in it last night. it was september nt to his home a massachusetts postmark. according to preliminary tests, the substance was not dangerous. new information, trey walker of the baltimore ravens in critical condition at a miami hospital. we got word that the corner back was riding what some have report as a mote information seek kell. this video shows something more like a dirt bike and he collided with another vehicle in miami-dade. walker is from that area.

west of the d.c. area, a rain/snow mix around town. roads likely because it has been so warm, more likely slushy roads as opposed to icy roads. so these march storms, we just don't have 1/2 super cold air to get everything frozen up. so sunny and windy today, clear and cold tonight. back down near freezing this most of the suburbs by early tomorrow morning. and then tomorrow during the day, here is 4:00, rain moving in. mid-40s and rain by 4:00. chance for a rain/snow mix out in the shenandoah valley. it's overnight saturday night in to early sunday morning this area frederick, hagerstown, martinsburg, winchester, those will be the favorite areas for snow. the american forecast model says about 1:00 to 2:00 around town and 3:00 to 4:00 up to the north and west. i think that is probably just about right. a coating to an inch, maybe two, primarily on the grass around the i-95 corridor, but i do think 2 to maybe 4 inches of snow out north and west of

anticipation tough to take. we've been keeping a close eye on the famous cherry blossoms. >> the weather could take a toll on the peak bloom. amelia segal is live at the tidal basin this morning tracking the blooms for us. >> reporter: good morning. a couple of dates for you. this sunday the first day of spring and as chuck mentioned, ironically we'll be tracking rain and snow showers. now, next wednesday and thursday, this is when the park service is saying peak bloom will begin. that's when 70% of the flowers are out. now, this is a little bit earlier than normal. normal usually the last week of march, first week of april. once the flowers are out, you want calm cool weather conditions and with that, they last several days. with spoke to several people and they were certain winter was over. >> it's confusing everything out of me. you can't be having snow in spring going on here. they need to keep it to the
