she was. during barbins arrest, state police say he admitted to accessing girl through a social media network last fall. and a former little league umpire should learn his sentence today in d.c. federal court. donald essex pleaded guilty to child porn possession last year. fbi agents say that he contacted an undercover officer soliciting him for sex and sending pictures thinking that that officer was a 9-year-old girl. he is zeessex was an umpire unt. montgomery county mother suspected in the disappearance of her two children tried to break out several times. the "washington post" first reported that hoggle has attempted eight escapes from the hospital. she never succeeded but once got a hold of a bamg of one of the staff members. her attorney says she was trying to see her kids sarah and jacob.

statements that the reasons that she wants to get out on go see her children, that she has done everything she can to protect and love her children. >> sarah and jacob hoggle disappeared in 2014, her last seen with their other. affidavits sworn out by family members in december suggest that hoggle is faking her illness to avoid prosecution. catherine hoggle is expected back in court next month. this morning people this lorton are on edge after hearing gunshots in their neighborhoods just days after a murder. several people reported hearing shots sunday morning. police searched for bullet casings but they say they didn't find anything. this all happened close to where 83-year-old ywas found dead. police have not made any arrests. another show of force from north korea firing several weapons today. sense we first

more on the changes we were telling you about on metro where escalator he repairs are set to begin at these three stations, glenmont, georgia avenue petworth and deamwood. it means some is entrances will be closed. derrick ward with what we need to know. >> reporter: good morning. the challenge here is getting to the other entrance. the one where the escalators are working. it's something you will have to deal with because the work will take about nine honestiey s mon. as of today, the west side escalators at the he glenmont station will be closed and they will be closed as i said for nine months now. and they will have an elevator on that side that you can use to get down to the plat fform and also the other side. the challenge is georgia avenue runs

a scary moment to parts in baltimore county after firefighters rushed to pull two 11-year-olds from this hole in the ground. they were playing when a hole opened up and the boys fell town 30 feet. one boy was able to climb out, but it took half will an hour for firefighters to pull the other boy out. he was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. tennessee police are investigating a facebook post showing two young children for sale. the pictures show the kids with their hands bound and mouths covered with duct tape. the caption read kids for sale, 45% off because they're bad. memphis police say several people september them this picture. the facebook post has since been deleted. our affiliate was told the picture was a joke. stwloo o

breaking news at 6:45 after some flooding after a water main break at howard university hospital. >> meagan fitzgerald just getting to the scene in northwest washington. what you can tell us at this point? >> reporter: well, good morning. actually the news came in just before 6:00 this morning that there was some sort of a water main break inside howard university hospital behind us here causing flooding and forcing some patients to be relocated. now, we know that d.c. water was on scene. they successfully turned off the problematic valve, but of course there are other valves that are giving wr
