are all gone? news4 midday starts right now. a manhunt stepped up security and travel warnings all happening alongside a city in me mo moriam. crowds are gathering to honor the people who were killed and hurt in the brussels terror attacks. we're learning more about the bombings this morning and a manhunt for a suspect police say is on the run right now. for several hours, it wasn't clear whether najim laachraoui is in custody. he's not only responsible for the brussels attacks but the paris attacks as well. another person was arrested in a raid today. police said they found bomb-making supplies with more than 30 pounds of explosives along with an american flag.

but they lived in brussels for two years. they were at the airport saying goodbye to stephanie's mom, who was getting on a flight. we are told she made it back safely. nobody has heard from them. at 11:15 we're live from the embassy of belgium here in washington where the president arrived to pay his respects just a short time ago. as they continue the manhunt for the people responsible for these terror attacks, we'll tell you any breaking news in that investigation. now to a developing story back in our area, right now police are on the scene of a homicide investigation in prince georges county. officers found a man's body in a townhome community early this morning. we're going to get right to news4's molette green who is live on the scene in district heights. molette, what can you tell us? >> reporter: barbara, good morning. this investigation is sti

in brussels right now, hundreds of people are recovering from bombings at the airport and on a subway train, an isis terror attack. some of them are in critical condition, some in medical comas, and some are americans. ll, 34 people were killed in the attacks. we are hearing from the witnesses this

them out, the weather is supposed to be spectacular on this peak bloom day. of course, the cherry blossoms mean crowds and tourists here in the district. destination d.c. tells us that during last year's national cherry blossom festival, more hotel rooms were booked than the year before. hotels saw about an 88% occupancy rate. anything over 80% is considered to be pretty good. prices for those rooms were also up. many tourists spent on average $243 a night to be able to be here, have a room to enjoy the cherry blossoms and all the fun activities that come with the festival. >> if anybody guessed it right, it's incredible to have the festival open on saturday when the blossoms are at their peak -- >> it's
