d.c. to the bahamas had a tough landing. we'll show you what went wrong. and d.c. police release new video of a suspect on the attack with a knife. news4 at 11:00, begins with breaking news. >> we start in alexandria where someone was stabbed outside land mark mall. >> we're joined now with more live. >> reporter: this was a really being deal. it's easter weekend, a lot of families come out here to the carnival here at landmark mall. they were having a lot of fun, and that was interrupted when this stabbing occurred. two people apparently got in an argument. one people stabbed the other person and the victim has not life threatening injuries. police responded and arrested the suspect. fairfax county police used their helicopter and

disbursing the crowd. the carnival was supposed to end tonight around 11:00. but after this happened, it stopped. that's when police had to tell people to leave. we don't know what effect this will have on the schedule tomorrow or the next day. we'll bring you updates as they become available and update on our nbc washington app. new at 11:00, a rough landing in the bahamas, but passengers on board are all safe tonight. jetblue flight 29 left just before 1:00 this afternoon from reagan. but when it got to nassau, the landing gear malfunctioned. the plane came to a stop with its nose on the roadway, but all are okay. get ready for a big weekend. we have the cherry blossoms in peak bloom,

easter break all at once. >> what kind of role is mother nature going to play? >> there's new data just coming in. i think there will be one day out of this weekend that's golden. the other one, maybe bronze. so what kind of weather can we expect? last year it was nearly 70 degrees, the warmest 2011, we got up to 85. the coolest, 46 degrees. of course, last sunday, we were in the 40s. here's the tweaks i've made to changes. we're overcast in pennsylvania. north carolina could see some drizzle and fog. so we'll change that to more cautionary. west virginia, your best chance of sunshine. and for all the spring breakers, heading to the beach, ocean city, rain coming in for the early part of next week. what about the temperatures here locally? i'll have your hourly forecast in just a few.

we're getting new reaction. police arrested a man for shooting a 9-year-old boy. he was playing outside in d.c. when a spray bullet hit him in the head. >> that was a year and a half ago. doctors called his survival a miracle. today, police announced an arrest in the case. >> reporter: jaden was just 9 years old in october 2014, when a stray bullet hit him in the head on a play ground in northeast d.c. he was the unintended victim, caught in the cross fire. after working the case for a year and a half, police made an arrest today. >> 27-year-old kenneth parker now is facing 14 counts for that shooting of jaden. >> reporter: the police chief tells us parker was already in jail. jaden's mother, monique, is pleased. she won't talk on camera about the arrest. she's filed a civil lawsuit against management

they did not return our phone calls. dade haynes is her lawyer. >> we're glad an arrest has been made. >> reporter: right after the shooting, a police officer cradled jaden and rushed him to the hospital. the shooting left a bullet in his brain and he still has trouble walking. here's what he told us around christmastime about that shooting. >> my eyes were shut and i heard them praying. >> reporter: people thanked police for catching the suspect. >> it gives parents a peace of mind finally. like okay, so they're doing something. >> wonderful kid. hope he continues to get better. tonight, friends, family and officers say goodbye to a prince george's county police officer. his funeral was held today. a fellow officer mistakenly shot collison in a shootout. now he's being remembered as a fighted

>> he was truly special from the day he was born. he was a six-month baby, and he fought to get here and he fought going out. >> he was a cop's cop. rest easy, 3693. we got it from here, bru. >> he will be buried on monday. another day of raids in brussels as officials work to shutdown isis terror cells. one of the suicide bombers at the brussels airport made explosive vests used in last year's attacks in paris. the top suspect in that attack, captured one week ago today in brussels, is no longer speaking to investigators. salah abdeslam had warned police that more attacks were on the way.

belgium and laid a wreath at the airport and met with leaders there to talk about the terror fight. the best line of defense against a brussels style attack may be man's best friend. everyone knows that dogs have very sensitive noses. the nypd's counterterrorism unit says it's training dogs to pick up the scent of explosives in busy areas like the subway or airport. here's the problem, though, there aren't enough trained animals to go around. only 130 dogs have been trained in the past ten years. only one of those dogs is in europe. the pentagon wants to send more troops to iraq to support the ground war against isis. but the chairman of the joint chiefs still has to discuss it with president obama and didn't say how big of an increase he's hoping for. we learned that u.s. forces killed isis' number two in command. he was the group's finance minister and experts think his death will hurt their funding. a flight attendant accused

cocaine and running barefoot out of an airport is going to be sent back to california. marsha gay reynolds turned herself in to police in new york days after she allegedly left two bags full of drugs in lax. her bail was set at $2 million. she was the second runner-up in in the 2008 ms. jamaica world pageant. donald trump is denying any connection tonight to a tabloid story that alleges ted cruz has had multiple affairs. cruz is accusing trump of planting a story in the "national enquirer," claiming the texas senator has had i fairs with five women. one of those women, a trump spokeswoman and former cruz ally. she says the story is 100% false. meanwhile, cruz is lashing out at trump. >> his conduct in this campaign is convincing millions of

get on the ground. get on the ground. >> a woman cries out for help as this body cam video shows officers racing to save her from an attacker armed with a knife. when police got to the scene wednesday morning, they saw the suspect standing over the woman in an alley. >> their quick action not only foiled a robbery but may have saved her life. this is one of the first times we've seen body cam video from a d.c. police officer. >> reporter: the victim was right here, the robber in front of her with a knife. remember, the video you're going to see is from a camera on the officer's chest.

it happened that fast. even though we cannot see the victim, we can hear the terror in her voice. >> he tried to rob me! >> reporter: the last frame shows a knife police believe the robber was about to stab her with on the ground. >> we have a citizen in the district who is grateful tonight by these quick actions of the officers. >> reporter: about 9:45 wednesday morning, someone reported a woman was being robbed here on marting luther king jr. avenue southeast. the robber had the woman pinned in an area between two buildings. as they pulled up, officers could hear her frightened cries for help. as the body camera shows, they immediately went into action to protect her from harm. the cameras, part of an accountability program, also shows something else. >> it shows complete surprise on behalf of the suspect when he turns around to see the two
