leave the library. they will stand up for safe spaces for muslim women. witnesses tell news 4 a public library officer was harassing the woman on wednesday. the officer no longer on duty while they investigate. it is supposed to kick off at 2:00 this afternoon. a man is accused of shooting a 9-year-old boy. dennis parker is facing serious charges, including attempt to kill. jaden was playing outside the mayfair phapgz in northwest d.c., when a spray hit him in the head. it happened a year and a half ago and jade especially survived. neighbors in the area are happy the suspect has been caught. >> it gives us peace of mind finally. okay. so they're doing something. my child might be safe. >> jaden was the

victim, just caught in the cross fire. >> do you hear that woman? she's yelling he's trying to rob me. dramatic body cam video showing officers race to go save her from an attacker who was armed with a knife. when d.c. police got to the scene, they saw a suspect standing over the woman in an alley. it may have saved her life and foiled a robbery. this is the first time we have seen body cam video from a d.c. police officer. >> the victim was right here. the robber in front of her with a knife. the video you're going to see is from a camera on the officer's chest. it happened that fast. even though we cannot see the victim, we can hear the terror in her voice. the last frame showed the knife that police believe the robber was about to stab her with on the ground.

>> a citizen is extremely grateful tonight. >> about 9:45 wednesday morning, someone recorded a woman was being robbed here in 1900 block of martin luther king jr. boulevard southeast. the robber, knife in hand, had the woman pinned into a narrow area between two buildings. as they pulled up, officers from the 7th district could hear her frightened cries for help. as the body camera shows, they immediately went into action to protect her from harm. the camera is part of an accountability problem of the department, shows something else. >> it shows complete surprise on behalf of the suspect when he turns around and finds two officers are standing behind him as he is attempting to commit a heinous crime. >> 48-year-old christopher galaway is charged with assault with intent to commit robbery. that body camera video can be
