storm spawned several tornado touchdowns, even one at the tulsa airport. authorities are canvassing the area now, looking for any others that may be injured. this is definitely aer to that we will continue to follow this morning. we'll bring you more from the live desk. back to you. 4:34. happening today, the man accused of shooting a 9-year-old boy in northeast washington is set to go before a judge. kenneth parker is charged in the 2014 shooting of jayden. swra de jayden was the unintended victim shot on a play ground during a gun found. he survived the shooting but was left with a bullet in his brain. after a year and a half, police charged parker last week. he's already in jail on apunrelated charge. parker faces 14 counts including assault with intent to kill. a man accused of trying to kidnap a 6-year-old girl from her front yard in wheaton. police say salami grabbed the

on monterey drive. her mother managed to get between salami and the front gate and he ran off. police say he came back a few minutes later, officers eventually arrested him on veirs mill road. he's charged with kidnapping and assault and is being held without bond. family, friends and neighbors gathered last night to remember a teenager killed at a d.c. metro station. 15 yald tod 15-year-old davonte washington was shot in front of his mother and sisters at the deanwood station. >> the young man this did this horrendous crime, life is also snubbed away from him. >> 17-year-old made reese bellamy was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. bellamy and the victim did not know each other. donald trump's latest comments about abortion are causing yet another fire sta

the rules require a hearing on that challenge, but the chairman of d.c.'s democratic party says an emergency d.c. council vote may be able to resolve this issue before the primary on june 14th. a local woman who was pregnant and infected with the zika virus is under the microscope by researchers at children's national medical center. these ultra sound images show the affects zika had on the fee fuss. a 33-year-old woman contracted zika after a trip to mexico and central america in the fall. early ultrasounds did not show any tell tale sign of birth defects, but at 20 weeks, it showed the fetus had severe brain abnormalitieabnormalities. >> what we do know for sure, if the fetal brain is affected, this appears to be a very bad situation. >> the parents chose to terminate the pregnancy at 21

a skydiver left paralyzed after a midair collision says he will jump again. a gopro camera captured the moments when they collided. the 23-year-old is now paralyzed from the waist down. doctors say it could take ten weeks or more before he walks again. we're learning students in loudoun county rode a school bus with explosive training material on board. a worker found the material yesterday. the federal agency used the bus in an exercise at pribriarwood h school. machi monday and tuesday it was also used. the school district is trying to contact a parents to say the material is benign and the

he's facing 1 feder1 federal ch and also state child sex abuse charges. this morning we're learning the man accused of hitting seven people with his car in d.c. on new year's day has pleed guilty. malik lloyd was drunk when he jumped the sidewalk. he pleaded guilty. a guilty verdict for a man accused of elder abuse in montgomery county. jose bacon was convicted of stealing thousands of dollars from a woman who is nearly 100 years old. conditions inside the house were discovered by a good samaritan. charging documents state that the person noted all the windows were covered allowing no natural light. the home was so cluttered that only one room was usable. there was cat feces in multiple places. officials are working hard to protect the senior. >> the crimes against vulnerable

and protective services. there will be over 200,000 senior zints in montgomery county in the next couple of years. so we want to protect our seniors. >> and this photo shows where he's withdrawing some of $191,000 he was convicted of stealing. he was banned from the victim's hospital room where he was still preying on her fierce of goiearo a nursing home. a girl who gave birth and then told police she found the newborn on her back porch will not face charges. she said the baby was found wrapped in a plastic bag outside. the new born girl is now in stable condition at children's national medical center. police say the mother gave birth inside that home. her age is not being released because she's a juvenile. this morning we know the name of the man who was killed in a tragic accident earlier this week.

shelf collapsed at the rinehart food services. osha is investigating. five other people were hurt. a ransom ware attack is causing trouble for thousands of patients treated at medstar hospitals. this is the latest example in a vehicle of such attacks on hospitals with hackers gaining control and demands big money to restore computer access. an example of the frustration, one woman said she was furious when the hospital canceled three days of her husband's radiation treatments. >> god love them, i hope they get it faster, because needs treatment somewhere. >> medstar says the system is returning to normal and that overall patient care has not suffered. several places around here are now using that new text to 911 technology. alexandria just launched its open service. it lets you text 911 instead of calling to get help even about if you can't use your phone.
