this just into the newsroom. a man accused of killing his own daughter and her mother in prince george's county has been charged with their murders. the state's attorney says 25-year-old doran boswell johnson commit an unspeakable and unthinkable crime. two months ago, investigators say deshanday davis was putting her 2-year-old daughter, chloe, in her car seat outside of her home in ft. washington. they said johnson was waiting for them and shot them multiple times and left. they say johnson admitted killing the two over child support. he is in custody with no bond right now. for more on this developing story, check nbcwashington.com. at the live desk, i'm eun yang. right now, mayor mueller bouser is kicking off the annual potholepalooza campaign. it means city crews will be out in full force filling the potholes. this year, the city says it

speak at a news conference later this evening about any important developments that come out of the summit. and we'll send alerts to the nbc washington app. at the live desk, i'm eun yang. >> as eun said, the nuclear security summit means more changes and cloefrs around the washington convention center, but it will all be over very soon. news 4's megan mcgrath is live outside the convention center next to one of those roads in red right now that's been a real tricky spot for a lot of drivers. megan? >> reporter: it really has. we're here on k. street. k. street is one of those red roads, which is means that it is closed. and they actually have been standing by, manning, actually directing traffic here for the last couple of hours, trying to get people through the area. because we have a lot of closed roads here, all around the convention center. that has been the case for the last couple of days. and it's been a major inconvenience. not only can people not drive through the area, there are parking restrictions, as well. also, the mt.

station has been closed. it is still closed, so people who normally use that metro station, they've had to walk down to gallery place, so that's increased their walk time, their commute, as well. so, it's been an inconvenience, but the light is at the end of the tunnel. things are going to start to get back to normal. for example, the metro station is going to reopen by 8:00 tonight, and all of the road closures and the parking restrictions, we're hearing from police that they should all be gone by noon on saturday. needless to say, folks who live and work in the area, they will be thrilled when things get back to normal. >> it's been a mess. nothing but a mess. everything's been late. what are you going to do? what are you going to do? we have to have summit. >> i'm walking and biking, so it's pretty easy for me. >> noon on saturday, should be back to normal. >> looking forward to it. >> reporter: so it has been a rough couple of days. a lot of people had their commutes extended, but the light is at the end of thenn

high-profile case for metro. last weekend, 15-year-old devonte washington was gunned down in front of his family at the deanwood metro station. a 17-year-old is charged with his murder. in february, a man was shot during an attempted robbery on a green line train approaching the anacostia station. patrols have been increased to deal with a spike in assaults carried out by groups of high school teens. those assaults are among the crimes that have risen when compared to this same time in 2015. the transit system also saw two murders last year, a stabbing on a red line train on july 4th and a shooting at a metro garage ten days later. the cia says one of its agents is responsible for dozens of loudoun county children riding a school bus last week with explosive material inside. agents were using the bus for training while students were on spring break. the cia says one of the

accidentally left that material onboard. the bus carried 26 students to breyerwoods high school on monday and tuesday, before someone during maintenance found the substance. school officials say regardless of the scare, the material is harmless. virginia's bureau of alcohol, tobacco, firearms, and explosives helped loudoun county schools in its investigation. the cia says it's taking steps to prevent the mistake from happening again. now to a scandal developing in alabama. governor robert bentley refuses to resign after secret tapes are exposed fueling allegations of an affair with one of his top aides was made public. the tapes contain some alleged pretty racy conversations between the governor and the aide. bentley denies the affair and says he is not giving up his position. >> nothing illegal there has ever been done that would affect the people of alabama ande
