bernie sanders telling the crowd tonight that hillary clinton is not qualified to be president. and what you need to know tonight before the national's homeopener tomorrow against miami. news 4 at 11:00 starts now. good evening, first at 11:00 tonight. a local doctor charged with abusing a female patient behind the closed doors of an exam room. the woman says it happened yesterday morning on a clinic on georgia avenue in northwest d.c. news 4's shomari stone has more. >> reporter: good evening, these are disturbing allegations. i'm standing outside the metropolitan assessment renewal center, the clinic at the 3100 block of georgia avenue. the woman went in there to get an exam, instead she claims that she was harassed. according to court papers, dr.

woman had a boyfriend and continued to ask if she was in a relationship. the woman's phone rang twice, and when it did, he allegedly made noises and touched his groin. police investigated and three witnesses who worked at the clinic denied hearing any noises from the room. officers arrested the doctor and charged him with second degree assault, a misdemeanor. people in the neighborhood are concerned. >> it is very unprofessional, i mean, of course. you would think that he deals with women on a daily basis. that is the part of his job. especially if he is doing physicals, right? >> yes. now, dr. yancey was released on his own recognizance. he is ordered not to practice medicine and must stay away from the woman. his next court appearance is coming up, we tried to contact him. he did not come to

live in northwest d.c., i'm shomari stone. thank you, shomari. and a problem is turning up, more atv and dirt bike riders are scaring residents in our region. tomorrow, police announced a joint effort to stop them. just last week, a police officer was dragged by a group of rioters. and on monday, an atv surrounded a child and an ambulance, and one reportedly threatened the driver. >> atv and motorcycle riders, blowing through the lights, disregarding the safety on our street. this is not the image i want the world to see. >> the police had run-ins with atvs in prince george's county. that is why state, local and federal authorities are now coming together to take on the problem. and s,

60s, and 70s to the west. the warmer air comes in. we have a potential for record lows again this weekend. i've got your forecast in just a moment. thank you, doug. a debate over the name of a elementary school middle school drew a big crowd today at prince william county. teachers say it is a distraction for the students. news 4 is there in manassas with more. megan? >> reporter: yeah, doreen, they did within the last couple of minutes, board members voted to rename godwin middle school to dr. george hampton. now of course there is controversy around this. there was evidence inside the board room there. there was a packed house with more than 50 people addressing the board for three hours trying to convince them which way they should vote. it started out as an effort by the board to try to please the

a fallen hero, county firefighter kyle wilson, who died while fighting a fire, and re-naming godwin middle school for the army veteran george hampton, a board member said that renaming it was good because former secretary godwin was a segregationist. that is why the controversy started. tonight, many sounded off urging the board to keep their decision to rename the school godwin. >> you made a decision in this room. stick with your decision and don't stir this county up. >> reporter: others focused on the former governor's past. >> i ask the board to unanimously reject any motion to reconsider its vote renaming the george m. hampton middle school. >> he changed his ways, thank god he did. but it's questionable whether he changed his ways because he believed he was wrong. >> reporter: but theud

school fought back. >> nobody cared until there were two groups of people who wanted a name on a school and only one school to name. the whole ensuing debacle has been made into a black/white issue and it should not have been. >> please rename the school. >> reporter: and some argued about why the topic came about in the first place, which is honoring two men while giving students another reason to have school pride. >> reporter: now, as you heard there a very passionate debate inside the room at the meeting today. but before this all started the board chair asked that things remain respectful. and at the end of all of this, he even acknowledged the fact things remained respectful even after they voted. now, theys encouraged people to get involved in the school and communities because they wanted to highlight the fact that what is most important is
