smith shot multiple times during a road rage incident last night in an upscale neighborhood in new orleans. deny schenn anyway man shows us how a simple accident turned deadly. >> reporter: it was late saturday night when former new orleans saints player will smith and his wife were driving through the upscale lower garden district of new orleans when police say his mercedes was rear ended by a hummer. the force of the crash pushed smith's vehicle into the car in front of him. >> at some point the dreifort hummer identified identified as cardale hayes and smith exchanged words. shortly afterwards, hayes produced a handgun and opened fire on smith and his wife. >> smith shot multiple times was pronounced dead at the scene while his wife was shot in the leg and hospitalized with nonlife-threatening injuries. caroline saw the gunman. >> total terror. i creamed and ran. >> cardale hayes was arrested on c

13 people without a home tonight in prince george's county. a fire ripped through the home early this morning on whiteway in laurel. investigators say by the time they showed up, they could see fire shooting out through the basement, through the roof of the house, as well. there were nine adults and four children in the home. good news here is ha nobody was injured. service workers are helping out the residents. today is good deeds day, speaking of which thousands of volunteers in our area and around the world are making an impact on their communities. the jewish federation of greater washington organized the events in d.c.,
