anne arundel county sheriff's office says ron bateman was arrested during a domestic incident at his home last night. the department says we will find out more about the arrest later this morning. today is the final day for maryland lawmakers to pass noah's law. a drunk driving measure named for a local fallen officer. different versions of the bill have already passed in the house and senate. but now the proposed law is being debated in committee. it is named for montgomery county police officer noah leotta and would require ignition interlock devices for drunk drivers. he was killed by a suspected drunk driver last year. the county police chief is concerned that the bill may die in committee. >> do not dishonor the sacrifice of officer noah leotta. do not turn your backs on the 130 families who lost a loved one last year to a drunk driver. pass noah's law.

the five people detained are all employees of the fireworks company. two people survived their plane crashing into a neighborhood street. you can see the plane was pretty badly damaged. the single engine plane went down shortly after taking off on long island yesterday. it clipped a tree and a utility pole and then crashed. the pilot was crushed to the hospital in serious condition with a head injury. the passenger was also hurt. a new poll in the race for president with new york's primary about a week away. it says hillary clinton has the edge over donald trump on several issues including her 40% favorable rating over his 26%. clinton only slightly edged trump in a question about who is better to protect the country. she also beat him in a question about making america great by five points. the margin of error in the bopo was plus or minus #
