lines. they have signs, the signs say "build up fios, not executive pay." and they want to stop layoffs and the use of contract workers and outsourcing. the strike is up and down the east coast. 49,000 customers. if you're a verizon customer in maryland or d.c., the strike could mean delays in getting someone to come out and fix a land line cable or fios service. the company said they've been preparing for a strike for some time. that they have workers who are nonunion to step in. back to you. now to decision 2016, an emphatic paul ryan, the republican house speaker saying again, yesterday, to, quote, count him out in the race to the white house. nbc's peter alexander has more with the exclusive interview

brothers will appear in court. police say michael ford opened fire at the district 3 station in palmer park in march as part of a suicide mission. officer colson died after a federal prosecutor thought he was a suspect and shot him. a man accused of killing his wife and a prince william woman faces two charges. those charges were for allegedly shooting the two other prince william officers who survived the attack in hamilton's woodbridge home. hamilton faces murder charges for allegedly kill his wife and rookie ashley guindon. fairfax police are looking for a man who sexually assaulted
