we begin with breaking news right outside wilson high school. news 4's mark segraves is there. >> reporter: we can tell you just after 9:00 this morning a student walked into the doors here near tenleytown suffering from a stab wound. police were called, fire and ambulance have responded. he's now at a local hospital stable. but we can tell you police are now in this neighborhood searching for the suspect. they say the student had parked his car a few blocks away from school and was walking here. they believe the motive was robbery. this is not the first time a student going to wilson high school has been robbed at knife point. the same thing happened just last week to an 11th grade girl who was walking home after school and almost the exact same location. she was also robbed at knife point, but she was not hurt. again, this student a senior here. we're told he's an athlete who was recently accepted to the university of north carolina. again, he is in the hospital.

in montgomery village or for the people who use this park when it's open. >> even if they did know each other didn't matter something like that shouldn't be happening in a park. >> reporter: tips can be made anonymo anonymously. there is a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest. and so far at this point police have not identified that 18-year-old man who was killed. back to you. >> thank you. neighbors want answers about a suspicious death in fairfax county. 21-year-old hosung lee was found dead at his town home in cent centerville. police say a family member found him unconscious yesterday afternoon. investigators say he suffered trauma to his upper body. a neighbor tells us the victim is a student at george mason university and lived with his sister and parents. police spent much of the night talking with neighbors and looking for evidence. >> it's still early on in the investigation right now. our detectives are trying to piece together the eventsh

>> a car has been towed from the scene. fairfax police say if you have any information you should give them a call. just in, the city of cleveland reaches a $6 million settlement in a lawsuit over the death of tamir rice. an order that was filed in court says the city will pay $3 million this year and $3 million next year to the family of the 12-year-old. rice's death sparked protest around the country after video showed a white officer shooting tamir as he played with his pellet gun. the officers allege they acted recklessly when they confronted rice in 2014. barbara. starting today in an effort to curb violence, students at two different high schools will be dismissed at different times all because of fights between students at the dunbar and technical educational campus. d.c. public

have been happening at metro stations when schools let out. now there will be a 20-minute time difference in dismissals which should mean fewer students heading to the metro at the same time. and right now d.c. leaders are breaking ground on a new pro soccer stadium. d.c. united is leaving rfk stadium for the new facility at buzzard point. these are artist renderings of what it will look like once it's all done. the new facility won't be far from nats park. and the project is expected to cost around $300, 000 million. expected to be opened by fall of 2018. we have plenty of sunshine. my goodness, what a gorgeous monday. unfortunately things are going to change just a little bit this week. temperatures out there right now it was a chilly start out there this morning, but now we have come up into the 60s, cull

going into tomorrow's primary in pennsylvania. take a look at the numbers from the new nbc news/"the wall street journal"/marist poll. 45% for trump compare to 27 for cruz and 24 for kasich. trump loses in a potential matchup against democratic front-runner hillary clinton 54 to 39. that would be sunday's poll has a margin of error of nearly two percentage points. and mark murray, senior political editor for nbc news joins us now with more on tomorrow's primaries and the new team effort against trump. so what do you think about that? explain what it is they have in mind. can they take themselves out of a primary? >> so here are the parameters of the deal. we're either calling alliance or truce between john kasich and ted cruz. they're promising john kasich will not campaign in indiana, allowing ted cruz to be able to go mono y mono with donald trump in that state. and what kasich gets out of it is cruz promised he

campaign in oregon and new mexico. but this doesn't necessarily mean that they're telling their people to vote for, you know -- that kasich is telling his voters to say, hey, be sure to vote for ted cruz. they're not saying that. >> and they can't take their names off the ballot. >> they can't. and they're trying to do the best they can. but the recognition donald trump is leading, and, barbara, he's leading in indiana right now three consecutive polls donald trump up. and donald trump wins there it's game over. >> let's take a listen at trump's response to being a target. he says that the pair is desperate. anything else he can do to fight what their plan is? >> well, we're going to see him speak on this three times today. he has three campaign events, barbara, across the country. what he's going to end up saying and this will go into his message that this is more proof that the game is rigged. everyone now is colluding to go against him and play into this message that the establishment doesn't want donald trump. this is the same message he's been riding to success so far. >> certainly has been. could this have been backfire for cruz and kasich? >> it could backfire because, again, not all these

vote for donald trump. and also, barbara, we've already had voters who already voted in indiana. 4% according to one poll 60,000 absentee ballots have already been cast. they've been voting since april 5th. when you add all this stuff up it still might be very difficult for ted cruz to be able to win in indiana. >> now, where are the primaries and which states should we be watching? >> indiana is may 3rd. the states we're going to be watching here and maryland of course this area has a big primary. pennsylvania another big battleground. rhode island, delaware and connecticut. >> well, a lot going on. >> big night tomorrow. >> and of course maryland for all of us around here will be one that we will be closely watching. on the democratic side now, bernie sanders repeated that he is in the race to stay. but she's got an insurmountable lead over him right now. what do you think? >> the math is against sanders. he's going to have to win every remaining contest by about 20 r

>> is there the point of the movie to inspire to challenge people to do things that they normally wouldn't even think about trying? >> that's exactly right. it's one of the things people know i've done ironman races, but when people are doing triathlons i hope they don't automatically leap to ironman. they start small and build up from there. it's not just triathlons, it's everything. we talk about clean up your garage, whatever it is. any challenge you set for yourself, achieve that goal. >> and, jay, you feature the nation's triathlon here in the movie. why that race? >> yes. that race was important because, one, it's one of the largest triathlons in the united states. and i believe in the world as well. >> uh-huh. >> and it was important to us that the film is very northern virginia centric, very virginia centric, and we wanted something that was iconic. we were able to get shots in this film that no oth

other film. and that's something that we thought like having that be the culmination, that be the climax of the film was going to be something very powerful. >> and you both have ties to virginia. >> right. >> so you do a lot of filming there. >> yeah. i'm from northern virginia and jay is from richmond, but it's the first race i did as far as being an olympic distance triathlon, plus it's linked to leukemia and lymphoma society and cancer awareness is a big part of our film. one of the things i'll never forget in my first nation triathlon race i saw a woman walking around with a t-shirt said if you think this is tough, try chemotherapy. and in my mind that's really what triggered getting this movie started. going beyond what your current situation is. >> sure. yeah. jay, you had a pretty small budget. was that your biggest challenge? one of your biggest challenges? >> it was a small budget for films by and large and particularly for a film that was this ambitious. but we had a phenomenal crew.

for the annual maryland house and pilgrimage. joining me to talk about the open house tours that have been going on since 1930 are kathy smith, executive director and kelly glass who owns one of the homes on the tour. welcome to both of you. >> thank you. >> it was great looking at some of the pictures. this has been going on for almost 80 years? >> that is correct. 79. >> 79. kathy, how many different maryland communities are involved in the tour? >> well, this year we have five different counties that are going to be involved in the tour. and each county usually has about 7 to 8 sites. and that can be a home or a garden or both. >> it has to be pretty popular that it's lasted 79 years. how easy has it been to get families to open their homes to let visitors come through? >> well, i will tell you it's getting harder and harder. usually it's people we know and they trust, and it's the same people that come back year after year. and so, you know,

as interested in the history behind each home. so we've been successful. >> kelly, you have a house -- you live in washington. but you and your husband bought a home in queenstown, and it's called bolling lane. >> yes. >> tell us about it while we look at pictures. >> we decided we needed a place just for family gatherings. and i grew up on the water and really wanted a place where our kids could have the same kind of experience. i'm a history buff, so having the history of the house is really interesting to me. >> the house actually was attacked at one time during the one of the wars, right? >> yes, it was used as headquarters for the local militia in the war in 1812. they came across the lawn, surprised the militia and everybody left and the british completely ransacked the house. >> it looks pretty well taken care of. have you added on to the house? >> we haven't, but a lot

throughout the years. so there was another -- so one of the owners added a whole extra wing. then a few years later it was more added on. at some point i think in the mid 1800s it was a ferry house hotel, so the ferry passengers would stay in the home then. >> do you stay there when the guests come for the tour? >> we're going to be this time because they're doing the historic reenactment of a lot of the local militia there. so i think my kids are going to absolutely love to watch that. >> they're going to be in costume. >> full costume. i think we've been told they're going to have some tents on the lawn. lots of other stuff. so i think the kids -- everyone will really enjoy it. >> now, kathy, it's not just the houses on the tour. there are some just gardens. can you tell us about that? >> correct. like i said sometimes it's just a garden, sometimes it's a garden and a house. the gardens are extraordinary. something you absolutely want to see. the tickets you can get tickets on our website which is
