on rush hour fares with fewer rai trains running. the time is 10:02. prince george's county police are investigating a murder to lanham on greenfield drive. when they arrived, they found a man seriously hurt and that victim died at the hospital. right now police are not saying how the man died or who killed him. and in the district, a man is dead after a shooting in southeast. this happened on nelson place just before 2:00 this morning. police tell us that the victim died at the hospital. no word on a suspect. the latest now on those deadly shopping center shootings in maryland. we now know why eulalio tordil went on friday's rampage. police say he wanted another car after allegedly killing his estranged wife on thursday. malcolm winffel and paulina molina were killed because of the carjacking. police describing those killed as a ha

>> malcolm winffel gave his life for somebody he doesn't know in order to protect her from a predator. >> in all tordil now faces three counts of murder. and two counts of attempted murder. he was a federal protection officer on administrative leave because of several protective orders against him. he was not supposed to have guns, but he got more following the restraining orders. >> and the final victim claudina molina, she was a 65-year-old woman was bolivia. tordil shot and killed her outside the giant on friday morning. a memorial is set up in the very parking lot where she was gunned down. the entire community there still in shock. >> and i'm just sad. it's the evil. people don't value life anymore.

airlines flight from philadelphia's international airport to syracuse was ready to take off thursday evening when it went back to the gate. what was first thought to be a passenger's illness was actually her suspicion about a university of pennsylvania professor she allegedly thought posed a threat. >> i think it's a sad commentary on how suspicious we are of one another. >> reporter: the professor is an internationally recognized economist, he was on his way to a speaking engagement in ontario and was working on math equations that were a party of his presentation. the woman, quote, thought he was a terrorist because he was writing strange things on a pad of paper. >> obviously people have a very great fear which overwhelms their ability to think. >> reporter: he was questioned and eventually cleared by authorities. it delayed the flight for two hours. >> i think she should have asked what he was doing first. >> reporter: american airlines confirmed that a passenger expressed concerns about another customer's behavior and apologized for the delay.
