as well. this whole center median of 23rd parkway is surrounded in yellow tape right now. this is an area mostly it looks like apartment complexes. we know that police got a report of a man shot around 1:00 -- or a shooting around 1:00 this morning. that's when they came out, they found the man who had been wounded. he was taken to a hospital where he died right now. detectives looking to a motive and of course suspects. we'll keep you posted. back to you. we expect a verdict today in the trial of a baltimore police officer. the judge should hand down his ruling this morning for officer edward nero. officials are calling on people to remain peaceful when that decision is announced. nero faces assault, high schomi in office and reckless endangerment charges. prosecutors say he was negleiget when he didn't buckle him in. nero's lawyers say buckling is prisoner in is the responsibility ofe

chris gordon will be in the courtroom. be sure to follow him on twitter at chris gordan news oig to be the first to learn the verdict. into word this morning about the cause of the crash of egyptair 804. there were 66 people on board, all believed dead. right now multiple countries including the u.s. are searching the area where the plane went down. they want to find the voice and flight recorders, the black boxes, which they're worried could run out of batteries. the plane was flying from paris to egypt. one thing we are learning, the identities of the victims. here you can see a funeral service for two of the victims. they lived in cairo. we know there were no americans on board. a review is under way to determine whether a university of maryland police officer used appropriate force by pepper spraying students. the department is promising to review body cam video and the 911 call. video posted on twitter shows the chaos at the courtyards in

together. one of the things stressed, implementing the transpacific raid pact as well as addressing issues that stem from the vietnam war. now this lifting of the ban means that it will be lifted after decades of keeping vietnam from having sales of military equipment coming into the country. president obama saying that this is going to be based on a case by case basis and that he is defending the decision despite vietnam's record of human rights. part parents and teachers weigh in tonight on a plan to rename jeb stuart high school. if the have osuperintendent bel there is enough to support change, a public vote will be held. the superintendent is expected to make a decision by the end of next month. now to decision 2016 and the new nbc news/"wall street journal" poll that

hartsfield. police found a man shot outside the apartment complex, he's now fighting for his life. police tell us they received two 911 calls around 11:30 last night. again, we're in the 2900 block of stillwood circle in falls church working to get some information from police on a suspect and motive in this case. that is the latest live from falls church. molette green o. back to you. in the day ahead, two men will be sentenced for their roles in a murder in oxon hill. they were found guilty back in march of helping in the robbery of the claroin hotel. during that robbery, a hotel worker was killed. william us was the driver of the getaway car and washington acted as the lookout. a teenager unknowingly helped a man suspected of robbing a jewelry store in fairfax county. police say the robber shot a

police and crashed a stolen car. andrew gear, the teen, didn't realize what he was seeing and jumped into help. >> i'm probably 10 feet away from him and i'm just checking out the situation, seeing if the car -- it was damaged and seeing if he was okay, not knowing that he was a criminal. >> andrew gear became an eagle scout last night.teen says the robber put on a hat, grabbed a duffle bag address tond took of woods. two are recovering this morning after being shot the and their car stolen early sunday morning. this happened on east capitol street in southeast d.c. police say two men and a woman approached the women in a car, shot both of them and then stole the car. if you know anything, you're asked to call police. in news 4 your health this morning, two thirds of women surveyed say they feel worried about their ability to have children. researchers at north well health

when we first arrived, it was sitting in the middle of 23rd parkway with i think it was the driver's side door just standing open and as you see now, it's being towed away. what we know so far is that police got a call this morning reporting a shooting at about 1:00. they got here and found a man who had been shot and we understand that he has died. so right now still an active scene, winding down just a bit. several police cars still here. we've seen detectives, they're trying to federal governmeigure happened in the shooting. this is a street of homes on one side, kind of duplexes on one side and apartment complexes on the other side of the street. you see the yellow tape here surrounding the entire median area. so again, shooting around 1:00 this morning. one man is dead. police have not said anything at

now they are here trying to put together some of the pieces, find a motive and of course whoever fired those shots. back to you. >> kristin wright live for us. thank you. a massachusetts police officer is dead after he was shot during a traffic stop early sunday morning. auburn police are mourning the death of 42-year-old officer ronald tarantino. the person who police say shot him is dead after an 18 hour manhunt. and monica madeja has the latest news. >> reporter: that's right. it's a really somber day here in central massachusetts for many of the small towns that were affected by this tragedy. a very harrowing day, now the investigation somewheres on to what prompted all of this violence. i want to show you the suspect. this is the man investigators say shot and killed that police officer.

35-year-old mojorge zanbrano. throughout the day sunday, a lengthy search ensued for him. he was located just several miles away at a home in oxford, massachusetts. tactical uptss found him in a bedroom when he jumped out of the closet firing a gun at officers. a state trooper was hit. zanbrano was killed. that state trooper is recovering in the hospital after surgery, but sadly officer tarantino has died. and now they are mourning the loss. his body was brought to the funeral home. the impact of yesterday's events on the community really still settling in at this point. the focus is now offering support for the family. we have learned that officer tarantino has three children and a wife as well as a community of brothers and sisters in blue. as you can see behind me here at the funeral home, one
