a harsh view over the inspector general's office over official e-mail server when she was secretary of state. andrea mitchell has details. >> reporter: hillary clinton, again, dogged by her e-mail controversy. a year-long inspector general's investigation from the state department blasting clinton for using only a private home e-mail server while secretary of state. and finding she violated the federal records act by not turning over all official e-mails before she left office. concluding, sending e-mails from a personal account to other employees is not an appropriate method of preserving e-mails. despite her previous claims. >> this was fully above board. people knew i was using a personal e-mail. i did it for convenience. i sent e-mails that i thought were work-related to people's.gov accounts. >> reporter: she knew as early as 2010 her e-mails were not saved for the report. a new report with

"the washington post" editorial board has come out against clinton on the issue saying clinton displayed inexcusable willful disregard for the rules. breaking news overnight. a deadly shooting at a new york city concert hall where rapper t.i. was scheduled to perform. police say someone opened fire last night in a green room in irving plaza. three men and one woman hit by bullets and one man died at the hospital. witnesses say the shooting sparked a stampede sending panicked concert goers running for the exist and no arrests have been made and no word on the possible motive. metal detectors were in place but one was told new york city security was laxed. t.i. had not taken the stage when the shooting occurred. the head of the tsa says the agency is adding staff to help deal with increasingly long airport security lines. >> we have a challenge this summer which we are aggressively meeting head-on. we are providing more overtime

we are also converting with the help of congress and the reprogramming request our front line officers from part-time to full-time as necessary. >> reporter: in front of a house committee, tsa administrator peter neffenger said a combination of factors are to blame for the screening jams, including more flyers, less screeners and fewer travelers than anticipated having applied for the government's precheck program. meanwhile, the tsa says it has cut the lines at chicago's o'hare international to 20 minutes from over two hours last week. and this morning, the head of the tsa appears exclusively on "today" to discuss all of the changes as the busy summer travel season begins. another round of severe weather barreled across kansas wednesday. storm chasers captured several violent tornado rolling through abilene, kansas, throwing dirt and debris. emergency managers say at least 20 homes were damaged or destroyed in dickinson, county. check out how close storm chasers

be center stage on capitol hill again. a house subcommittee will hear from airport and airline representatives to get their perspectives. yesterday the head of the tsa testified about the agency's plan to get that problem under control. and administrator peter neffenger will speak with matt lauer this morning on "today." his first interview following his testimony yesterday on capitol hill. we're staying on top of new information, intruders making it through gates and over fences at d.c. airports. the associated press reports it happened at least ten times in the nation's capital in the last ten years. most recently last january. it that is when a man breached the perimeter security at reagan national airport. there have been two breaches at the reagan. dulles had eight such breaches an

none involved terrorism and all were caught. there were 45 perimeter beaches at 31 of the busiest airports. megan mcgrath is headed to reagan and will bring us an update in a short while. a father will learn his sentence today for killing his son. a montgomery county judge found him guilty back in march. he says he kill his three month old so he could catch in on a $750,000 life insurance policy. the original sentence in 2002 was appealed an even with a new trial, the judge found the baby died from injuries from being shaken by his father. also in court today, the man convicted of crashing his ford 150 into a pair of workers will be sentenced this afternoon. maryland state police say he lost control of of his truck back in february much 2015
