donald trump is expected to get specific today, talking more about that money he says he raised for veterans on the campaign trail. hallie jackson is at trump tower in manhattan. >> reporter: good morning, matt. donald trump says he will account for those donations today, for some, a test of his ability to keep promises he's made. meantime he's lashing out at a protective challenger. this morning one of his rivals is making headlines. donald trump in the hot seat this time after a fundraiser for veterans earlier this year. now questions about how much money was raised and where the cash really went. >> we're announcing on tuesday all of the groups that we've put up this money and raised this tremendous amount of money because we love the

under water this morning as the brazos river is expected to crest today. the death toll in texas is now up to at least eight after a 16-year-old boy was killed when a tree branch fell on him. this morning parts of texas are preparing for historic flooding. rivers expected to reach their highest levels in decades. overnight, authorities in austin recovered the body of a woman who drowned while tubing in the floodwaters. >> just goes to show how dangerous the water can be right now. >> reporter: high water rescued were under way in symington. >> we decided to sit it out. obviously not a good idea. >> reporter: some wharton residents are refusing to following mandatory evacuation orders. >> we don't want to leave anymore. >> reporter: the water in humbolt reached 7 feet in some homes. >> i don't know what s

the nsa and should still be punished. snowden now lives in russia and faces u.s. charges that could land him in prison. now to dramatic video of an apparent road rage incident in florida. it got completely out of control. this silver car suddenly takes a hard right turn and runs right over the top of the motorcycle in the next lane. it knocked the male required and his female passenger to the ground. the car speeds off. the driver was later arrested and faces aggravated battery charges. the two people on the motorcycle had only minor injuries. the golden state warriors are headed back to the nba finals after knocking off the oklahoma city thunder in game 7 of the western conference finals. the depending champs coming back from a three games to one deficit to win the series. curry led the way for golden state. final score, 96-88.

high marks for its performance over the weekend. wait times were not as bad at most airports. there are some new developments to report tied to the cincinnati zoo's decision to shoot and kill a 400 pound gorilla after a 3-year-old boy fell into the animal's exhibit. blake mccoy is at the zoo this morning. >> reporter: savannah, good morning. zoo officials are on defense, defending their security measures and their decision to shoot this animal. while critics take aim at the child's mother, the zoo is refusing to place any blame. this morning, zoo keepers posted a video they say shows an agitated 400-pound gorilla putting a 3-year-old's life in danger after it fell into the animal's closure. the zoo's director made the difficult call to shoot the animal. he says he would do it

many reasons, obviously. the little boy is okay, no critical injuries. this gorilla, 400-pound male, 17-year-old old. his name is harambe. the child told his mom he wanted to go swimming, according to the witnesses. at some point the child slips either under or over, and there have been conflicting reports about that as well, right now zoo officials think he went over something and fell 10 to 12 feet into the moat. harambe called the splash. he did not leave and then took the child. ten minutes, people were helpless for ten -- we've been on this show now eight minutes. so two or three more minutes longer than what we've been on with you right now, that's how long that child was in there with the gorilla. >> we have video of the
