passing out fliers to remind people that the metro closes at midnight for a year and some people didn't know and they won't be able to catch the metro home tonight. >> it is difficult. >> mallory is a bartender in arlington. ses not happy that metro is stopping trains at midnight instead of 3:00 a.m. on friday and saturday. >> we get out around 11:30 and 12 and i could catch metro home and not have to take a lyft home which casts about $10 to $15. >> reporter: adding up to an extra $300 a month. >> it is frustrating. >> reporter: it is part of the metro safe track plan, a maintenance overhaul. crews use the extra time on weekends to inspect and work on the tracks. >> just letting everybody know that this is closing at midnight tonight. make other arrangements. >> reporter: tonight police pass out flyers to remind people in clarendon, a popular night

that bike memorial. jackie joins us live from massachusetts avenue. jackie? >> reporter: doreen, at the time this bike was stolen, an american flag and a navy s.e.a.l. trident were attached to it. whoever took this bike has upset and offended a lot of people. the white bicycle at the scene of last august fatal crash in bethesda was a tribute to timothy holden, a man larger than life. a u.s. navy s.e.a.l. and decorated gulf war veteran and devoted father and an avid cyclist. hundreds of d.c. area riders assembled for his military funeral at arlington national cemetery. he was 64. >> my road bike. >> reporter: peter of fairfax, a fellow cyclist, who donated the boke, didn't know tim holden but admired the men. >> it is hurtful to the people th

i think both days we see a lot of cloud cover but tomorrow we see sunshine and less of the chance for rain. on sunday we have a potent storm system that will move our way. we'll talk about that in just a second. but first off, the storms came through earlier today. nothing too strong but heavy rain across the area. and the rain was moving very, very slowly down to the south. heavy rain all across our region a little bit earlier this evening. but now not seeing anything out there at all. clear as far as the radar. and we're dealing with cloud cover and warm conditions. severe storms possible. this is the risk for severe storms. and we're in the enhanced risk. now what that means is numerous thunderstorms are expected to develop on sunday. and we're going to see the storms during the afternoon. especially if we're able to get any heating. so thunderstorms likely. wind and heavy rain are the biggest threats. we'll talk much more about the sunday threat and we'll calling it a weather-alert day. much more on this coming up. doug, tha

here. that was one system. we have more clouds moving in from the west. and we have a couple of systems coming together, one of which is the system from texas, inundating them with rain. the moisture coming out of the gulf. and this the system, in minneapolis, you see the spin, coming together over our area. first the moisture is here tomorrow. so taking you through tomorrow first. now 8:0 a.m., maybe a couple of showers in parts of the area but most of us dry. notice even during the afternoon, most of us on the dry side. we do see a lot of cloud cover. maybe a little bit of sun. but around 7:00, a better chance of seeing a shower. only a 30% chance of rain. 11:00 tomorrow night, when we have the best chance. now take a look at this. hour by hour tomorrow, i think we'll be okay. 71 at 7:00 a.m. 78 at 10:00 a.m. 84 at around 4:00 in the afternoon. but watch at what happens on sunday. on sunday we get some showers and storms early and then we get a little bit of a break. if we get some sunshine during

3:00, that is how we could get some severe weather. and watch what happens during the afternoon, 5:00 or 6:00, a line of storm develops and this line could be strong. possibly severe. we mentioned earlier we're in an enhanced risk for severe weather and that means the storm prediction center thinks we'll see a good chance of storms. that is something we're watching for. 84 on saturday. walling sunday a weather alert day for the potential for the storms. and let's go over the threat one more time. 85 for a high. the warmer we get, the better chance we have of severe weather. high winds is the biggest threat and besides heavy rain -- heavy rain and possible for flash flooding is there. hail and even a low risk of tornados. so again, this is something we'll be watching closely. tom will be in all weekend long to help you out with that. 84 on monday. monday looking beautiful. not just nice, but we're going to see low humidity on monday. cool start to tuesday morning but then tuesday afternoon looks good. and look at wednesday, after another front moves through, temperatures only in the 70s. with sun. so we are
