issued a severe thunderstorm watch earlier this afternoon for just about everybody. you can see the areas in pink still under that severe thunderstorm watch until 10:00 p.m. this evening. however, i think based on the latest radar trends the actuality of a severe thunderstorm actually developing this evening in our area is extremely low. are we still going to be dealing with heavy rain in spots? yes. here's the latest. really not picking up any lightning. we haven't had any reports of hail today. only strong, gusty winds. now, i've drawn this line. if you're south of this line, you could still be dealing with some heavy rain, maybe a small threat of some flash flooding. it is highly unlikie inly we're tracking a severe thunderstorm. maybe just a few showers, but the spread of rani

we are learning more about the man shot and killed in a neighborhood in prince william county. he's a 24-year-old named najim mason. >> reporter: a broken window seemingly out of place in an apartment kmcomplex like this, t it is part of a police investigation into a homicide. >> everybody heard a loud bang in the area. at that point, everybody was like what's going on. >> reporter: when police arrived here, they found the 24-year-old victim. he was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. >> i saw a fleet of police cars in a row and some detective cars. it was raining outside. i believe it was a police officer. he knocked on my door and he asked me if i heard

no, we didn't. >> reporter: police say another person was injured in the incident and they're still sorting out that person's involvement. >> every since i got armed security around the complex they've had a lot more problems. >> reporter: this is not the first time something like this has happened. for some them, it is probably the last straw. for one resident, more vigilance. >> i'm going to keep an eye on my family late at night for sure. >> when my lease is out, i'm done. >> his death is the 11th homicide this year in prince william county. there were only nine for all of last year. the previous two years there were six homicides in the county. police are looking for suspects after a man was found shot to death in temple hills. they found edward payne in a parking lot. payne is from the district. police do not believe this was

random crime. a $25,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest in this case virginia, is found safe after being lost on a hiking trip. she became separated from her friend around 8:00 last night. she found her way to a search vehicle at 1:00 in the morning. she was wet, cold, and disoriented. seems like she is going to be okay. hillary clinton's shrinking magic number. clinton is now just 54 delegates short of clinching the democratic nomination. she'll likely become the presumptive nominee after the california primaries on tuesday. >> reporter: huge crowds turning out in california for both hillary clintona

the driver killed in a crash in howard county, maryland, was just 16 years old. he went off the road while rounding a curve early this m n morni morning. he did not have a driver's license and police believe he may have been speeding. tonight the city of louisville, kentucky, is preparing for a big ceremony to remember boxing legend muhammad ali. a 737 carrying the body landed in his hometown late this afternoon. he died friday after a long battle with parkinson's. a makeshift memorial is growing outside the muhammad ali center. jim brown talked about how ali's legacy transcends the sports world. >> the greatest thing about muhammad ali is that he represented

a new report by the attorney general's office is laying out the major problems plaguing maryland youth detention facilities. the report slams the facilities saying they lack supervision, treatment, and educational opportunities for juveniles incarcerated across the state. the study describes dismal conditions in maryland. he died just doing his job. today a prince george's county firefighter was given a special honor in annapolis. darcy spencer was there. >> reporter: the widow and young daughter of fallen prince
