than clinton. now you can get all the results from tomorrow's big primary day on the nbc washington app and right here at news 4 at 11:00. metro, during the height of the evening commute, this metro bus hit a tree in silver spring. >> news 4's jackie benson joins us with brand-new details. >> reporter: new tonight, charges have been filed after officials say the stories about what happened in the moments just before the crash didn't match. metro transit police officers downloaded video from cameras on board the bus, which held more than a dozen passengers when it collided with a tree on east west highway west of grub road about 4:15 p.m. the bus drive was severely injured and briefly trapped in the vehicle.

the plane unintentionally lifted off the ground, the pilot crashed into this embankment near mile marker 137. new video from the widow of a man who died in police custody two years ago in prince georges county. she believes this video proves her husband, samuel shields, was mistreated by corrections officers. the woman's attorney tonight has now filed a civil suit in the case. and news 4's shomari stone shows why they think the video proves their case. we want to warn you. some of the video you're about to see may be disturbing. sleep for two nights. i was having a lot of anxiety over that video. >> reporter: the osters tried to place shields in a room. according to a spokesperson, he is being uncooperative. the video doesn't show exactly what happened inside the room, but you can hear samuel shields screaming. tonight a prince georges county detention center spokesperson tells us the department can not comment on the video because it's in it's in their office of law pending litigation. regina shields has filed a lawsuit. two years ago, the spokeswoman told news 4 that shields was disruptive, separated from other inmates and became medically distressed. he was later taken to the hospital where he died. >> i think they could have shown more compassion towards him as a human and knowing he had health problems. >> reporter: he was arrested when he got into a dispute over a $2 bus

detectives say it all stems from the 17-year-old asking the 14 year old to smoke marijuana with him. >> very unusual case, very tragic and horrible results. >> investigators say the suspect told detectives the victim begged for his life before he died. the case goes before a grand jury july 5th. a rabies scare in fairfax county. a man says he was scratched by a cat when he was walking along the long branch trail near the springfield metro station. they say the cat was extremely aggressive and died during the attack. the tests came back positive for rabies. he had a tortoise-shell color coat and a clouded eye. please call animal control if you've had direct contact with it. and now your storm team 4 forecast. >> and we saw a pretty nice day

rescue crews continued their search tonight for two miners in mississippi who've been trapped in a gravel pit here since friday. officials say the men were operating an ex-ca vatser and dump truck at the bottom of the pit when they why engulfed like sludge-like material. it's believed those men are buried under more than 10 feet of mud, sand and gravel. crews say the search mission is risky, which is why they're moving slowly. take a look at this video. the coast guard rescued two seriously ill passengers from a norwegian breakaway cruise ship off the coast of north carolina. this happened on saturday, but the video was released today.
