deadly crash and the survivor who got up on stage. we are following breaking news out of israel tonight. new information about the deadly attack in tel aviv. >> news 4 at 11:00 starts now. >> new pictures and new clues in the quadruple shooting that shut down part of north capital street in northwest d.c. this afterno afternoon. a police officer was injured responding to the shoot and we have a look at the men police want to question about all of it. shomari stone is in northwest d.c. with surveillance photos. >> reporter: good evening. police hope someone recognizes the man you are about to see in the surveillance images. the shooting happened at new york avenue and north capital street. people who live here say they heard several shots fired. take a look at these surveillance

big ben liquor store. police say the man dressed in this dark hooded sweatshirt and faded jeans is a person of interest in the shooting. this evening, a gunman opened fire on one man, shooting him several times. police say he also shot three other men and took off running. tonight, all of the victims are expected to be okay this man lives near the store. >> i was scared, afraid for my family. i have a daughter. >> reporter: evidence markers and shell casings covered the sidewalk. police chief cathy l. lanier side a bike officer with uz responding and a car hit him. >> the car stayed on the scene. the officer is in good condition and transported and right now his injuries are not serious. >> traffic was backed up on north capital and side streets as investigators process the crime scene and interviewed people in the neighborhood. >> i have lived here three months.

students many with tears streaming down their faces applauded her bravery after she and her uncle accepted the items her brother a whitney senior would have received, a day their parents would have beamed with pride. >> here to receive an honorary diploma for tommy. a certificate from the governor's office identifying tommy as having been in the top 5% of the senior class and the name embossed yearbook that tommy ordered. >> reporter: tommy and his parents michael and alesandra were killed. helena was severe li injured but survived and since returned to school. >> emotions ran high during a meeting last night where members of the community pushed for dramatic and permanent changes to what has long

problematic stretch of road. a day later, at a rite of passage, all four family members would have attended they hoped to show how much support is there for her. in a whitman tradition, a moment of silence was offered for three other montgomery county students lost yesterday in a terrible crash. >> the crash that killed those three students happened around this time last night. the students were juniors. their senior classmates also graduated today. the crash happened here along burnt hill road in damascus. 17-year-old driver all died. today, the clarksburg graduation ceremony began with a moment of silence. green's father told chris gordon the friends had just attended a pregraduatpa

people. in addition to the four dead, four others have been wounded. police did shoot and wound one of the suspects but say they didn't have intelligence indicating an imminent attack. at the live desk, i'm chris lawrence. the race for the white house, now that hillary clinton is the presummittive democratic nominee, everyone is watching to see when and how bernie sanders may start to wind down his campaign. the clinton campaign is fully focused on the general election and beating republican donald trump. sanders is moderating his tone but vowing to fight on. his campaign, however, is down sizing ahead of the final primary here in washington next tuesday. >> i had a very gracious call from secretary clinton and congratulated her on her victories. >> reporter: the white house says president obama is holding off on endorsing clinton until after he meets with sanders tomorrow morning in the oval office. donald trump will be in virginia on friday night. he will holdal rally at the richmond coliseum. trump faces dissent and turmoil. paul ryan endorsed trump but an aide says he will continue to criticize him when he feels it is necessary. president obama was in new york and while there he taped his first appearance on "the tonight show" since jimmy fallon took over as host. the last time the president was on fallon's show it was "late night" and he got to slow jam the news. we remember that. another big time guest

will perform. it is after game five of the stanley cup finals and news 4 at 11:00 on nbc4. we are following developments in four shootings in northern virginia all within a 24-hour period. >> six people were shot including a sheriffs deputy. tonight the deputy is the only one still alive. the most recent shooting happened 1:30 this afternoon. police say a man shot and killed his son-in-law outside of a home before killing his daughter inside. all while children were present. 67-year-old heath van lee did surrender to police and is charged with second degree murder. an hour earlier, a man was shot and killed near old town alexandria. it caused schools to go in to lock-nominee mode. the victim was pierre clark and detectives are looking for a suspect. a stafford county deputy shot several times had successful surgery tonight. deputies say he was shot four

sumter. his mother kicked him out of the house and called 911 after he broke in last night. he now faces attempted capital murder charge. a woman assaulted by her husband is recovering. investigators say willis walker jr. first threatened his wife at gun point. she ran to a neighbor's home but walker followed and shot and killed the 74-year-old man who tried to defend her. walker threatened first responder and was shot and killed by a deputy. the trial for the baltimore police officer facing the most serious charge in the death of freddie gray begins tomorrow. officer goodson drove the van. goodson requested a bench trial. that means circuit court judge barry williams will decide his fate. last month you will remember they found officer not guilty of assault and other charges.

doreen? >> thank you, chris. tomorrow, fans of muhammad ali from around the world will be able to watch a memorial service for the late boxing champ. muslim prayer services will be a streamed live on-line. today people lined up for hours to get a ticket to attend the services. some ticket holders looking in to cash in went on-line trying to sell their tickets and ali family spokesperson warned officials would be monitoring on-line sales and ali died last friday after battling parkinsons disease for decades. it's a safety concern on metrobuss. metro plans to install locks on the emergency shutoff switches on the back of every bus. right now anyone can pull the switch and immobilize buses. in one incident last summer a man wound up shot and wounded on a metrobus. swen pulled
