park and sent everyone home. >> reporter: i'm jackie bensen in northwest with coverage of today's capital pride. announcer: news 4 at 11:00 starts now. good evening. i'm in for erika gonzalez. frustration and confusion after a power outage shuts down kings dominion and strands people on rides. our nbc affiliate in richmond showed a picture of the roller coaster struck half way up the hill. a dark arcade room. a power failure caused the outage around 8:00 p.m. all rides were safely evacuated and the park closed for the night. the power has been restored and they will reopen tomorrow. now, to new details on the death of "the voice

spend the next three years behind bars for having inappropriate contact with minors. 32-year-old timothy ward was a supervisor with the sterling and hamilton rescue squad. ward admitted to having a sexual relationship with one minor and sending inappropriate texts to another. he must register as a sex offender once he serves his time. an update to a story we brought you last night as breaking news. police identified jesus santos and roberto gonzalez as the two people killed in hyattsville. officers were called to their home for a welfare check and found the bodies outside an apartment building. both had traumatic injuries. no word on a cause of death or possible motive. scary moments for a

frederick county, maryland high school who inspired them. lawrence gray died in a boating accident on the potomac river last weekend. darcy spencer reports gray was known for much more than the upkeep of a school building. >> he was like another brother to me. >> reporter: two former students that placed flags and flowers outside the high school in frederick county to remember a custodian, lawrence gray, who died in a boating accident last .eendke >> he was a lovable person. every time i walked in, he played basketball. he gave me a handshake and a smile. he was one of the greatest people i ever met. >> reporter: they were going to form a band. he plays drums. mr. gray plays bass. >> he was my mentor and means a lot to me. he would do anything for me. that's the type of guy he was. i mean, he would do anything for anybody. >> reporter: hs

i won. i also won the iowa caucus, thanks to endorsements from strong conservatives like glenn beck and god almighty. now, i'll admit i'm an unconventional candidate. i'm not like other politicians. i didn't get where i am today because i was born wealthy. or handsome. or charismatic. or nice. i am not cool or likeable or even fine. i'm not young and hip. i am not "off da chain." i'm not energetic and healthy. physically, i'm not doing well at all. from the side, i look like a far side cartoon. in other words, i have overcome perhaps the greatest political liability of all time -- being ted cruz.
