found at the home. both victims were transported to a local trauma center. still no word on their condition and police are still looking for a possible suspect. happening today, ddot hosts its first public meeting to kick off the stud any ward 7. kicks off at 10:30 until 1:00. neighbors learn more about the study on the community's quality of life, improvements to transportation, safety, connections to destinations and sustainability. a teen who police say threatened to shoot his ex-girlfriend and opened fire inside her school was arrested by d.c. police. the 17-year-old was taken in thursday night. officers searched his home last week after he allegedly sent text messages to his ex-girlfriend saying he would kill her and her family. police found an ac 47 and more than 180 rounds of ammunition. the victim attends eleanor roosevelt high school in green belt.

reporting the threat likely saved lives. they have not released the suspects's name because he's a juvenile. a former dunbar track coach will spend the next 17 years in prison. he was sentenced friday. he pleaded glts toy seven counts of sexual abuse earlier this year. young admitted to abusing seven boys on the d.c. school's campus between 2012 and 2014. a are toer fairfax county police officer adam torres, was sentenced to a year in prison for killing john geer in 2013. but despite the sentence on friday, torres will get out in a couple of weeks on good behavior, because he has already spent ten months in jail. geer's family says the sentence is an insult. it was the result of a plea deal that prosecutors say was key to keeping geer's children often of the witness stand. >> if i went out and shot somebody, i would never see the light of day. >> it's pretty hard on those children and so i guess i could

he did a week ago. his eyes gladshot from crying. three days in the hospital. all from a snake bite. the little boy's mom telling me she was about a foot way from her son as he was out playing in the yard last week. he made an effort to step over a brick, and then flinched. >> i thought that he scratched his foot on something so i went to pick him up, and when i picked him up i looked down to see what he scratched his foot on and i didn't see anything there. >> reporter: the kemp family is visiting relatives, and over facetime the mom told me she noticed blood and the foot starting to swell. so they rushed to the hospital. >> when we got there they confirmed it was a copperhead bite. >> reporter: and eventually transferred him to fairfax and treated him with anti-venom. the family didn't have health insurance. >> regardless of how much debt, obviously, we just wanted him to be okay. >> reporter: as auden's aunt posted in gofundme, the costs
