>> a license plate reader spots the schmidt's car. the man who tried to get on white house grounds with a gun is out of the hospital, a judge ordered him to be held in jail until his trial begins in may. a secret service agent shot him in the chest after he walk toward the white house with a handgun pointed down. congress will try to take action on the zika virus, but if members can't get something done, it could be nearly two months before they have another chance. democrats are refusing to pass a million dollar bill to fight zika and the mosquitos that spread it. they said republicans including unfair spending cuts and limits on planned parenthood and health care in that bill.

maryland, are doing something about zika though. today, they say they are inviting anyone to two workshops in how to deal with mosquitos. the workshops are at frederick county's public safety training facility at 10:00 this morning zp 1:00 this afternoon. the montgomery county council could pass a bill that would strengthen your rights as a renter. it would require landlords to offer two-year lease renewals. the bill would call for a standardized lease to be used by landlords and tenants across the county. residents in alexandria are trying to get the attention of the faa over a change in flight paths leading to some major noise complaints. the faa says the noise is a direct result of its shift to a modern, more sophisticated system for managing

called nextgen. it saves millions in fuel costs but it also changed flight paths in some cities leaving some residents sleepless in alexandria and fairfax county. a major expansion is coming to the maryland live casino. a new hotel, spa, and event center will be built next to it. construction is beginning in the fall. shaken baby syndrome is the most common cause for inflicted brain injury in the first two years of life. it is a severe form of child abuse that happens when parents or caregivers violently shake a baby or small child. experts recommend that parents take appropriate classes and educate anyone who is going to be caring for your child. hospitals may cost you $1,000 that's each ifou
