a deadly shooting just steps from a metro station. it was a transit officer who shot and killed a suspect last night. it happened on 49th street near the d station. mark segraves, what have you learned? >> reporter: things were pretty heated in northeast. there was a lot of action and fireworks. these are fireworks and m-80s going off last night we found littered throughout the streets and they sounded a

a dramatic and heartbreaking finish for the women's 800 meter final for the u.s. olympic trials in oregon. this is alisia montano who struggled finishing the race during the final 200-meter stretch. with this finish, she did not qualify for the games. she made international headlines by competing when she was nearly eight months pregnant. that was back during the 2014 national championship. that was painful to watch. wilson and williams did qualify and will be heading to rio. so heartbreaking for her. >> all of that work, all of that work, that
