he'll also meet with family of the victims and local law enforcement. george w bush will also speak at that service. former first lady will also be in attendance. the dallas police department will get a major helping hand for today's security detail from neighboring arlington pd which is working in conjunction with the secret service. now, dallas police chief david brown says the department is fatigued after the last few days and doesn't want something to go wrong during the visit. this as hundreds gather to hold a candle light vigil in dallas to honor the victims. >> reporter: with the city still heart broken and many on edge, support if dallas police keeps pouring in. >> brent thompson was my friend and i loved him. >> reporter: hundreds paying respets to the five officers killed and nine others injured. those in uniform putting their lives on the line to protect others. this tribute just blocks away from where m

and people are going to be deeply frustrated and the divides will grow in our country. >> well n the upper midwest some frightening weather to show you. this scene looks straight out of the wizard of oz. a barn in litchfield is taken right up into the funnel cloud and more debris flung about as another twister barrelled through. police say it is the worst damage they have seen in a decade. let's get a look at the weather outside. boy, the worst in a decade. that says quite a bit. >> a couple situations going on in minnesota. one of them being the tornados that we saw yesterday. seven reported tornados and now it's all evolved into a flash flood situation north of the twin cities. this red box that you see here i have some highlighted rainfall totals. upwards of ten inches of rain. the problem of this, it came in about 12 hours worth of time or less, so that water had nowhere to go

there will be a memorial service today for the five law enforcement officers killed in thursday's ambush on police. one of them newly married. another a young father. the president will make his way to dallas in the next few hours. he will be at today's interfaith president along with former president george w. bush, his wife laura bush. funerals for those killed begin tomorrow. hundreds of people paid their respects to the fallen officers. they crowded the dallas city hall plaza for a vigil last night. pictures were placed in front of a crowd. as the vigil stretched into the night, people lit candles and prayed for the officers and families. for the first time we're hearing from the parents of the suspected killer here. police are trying to figure out how no one noticed the stockpile
