"the washington post" reports police believe the suspect was carrying a shotgun. minutes later, police rushed to 1600 block of 19th street and found a woman who was stabbed. both victims were conscious when taken to the hospital. a man accused of killing an american university student is going to be appearing in court. marcus king, andre dudley and christopher proctor is all charged in his death. prosecutors called this man a monster will be sentenced today. marcio gonzalez stabbed a man a

council members who support the resolution. it will be next week before the fourth officer on trial in the death of freddie gray learns his fate. closing arguments wrapped up yesterday in the trial of lieutenant brian rice. prosecutors say as shift commander, rice should have been aware of the danger when officers did not put a seat belt on gray in the back of a police van. he died from injuries he sustained while in custody. six officers were charged. two acquitted. a third faces retrial. parole and probation agents in maryland say they are extremely under staffed. next okay, a wave of nonviolent prisoners will be up for early release and the union says the state is not prepared. union officials say maryland must hire more agents to deal with this influx. they say an average agent should have about 82 cases but many are carrying more than 100. state officials estimate that 1,600 prisoners could be released under the new justice
