200 cyclists braving the heat and making a two-day bike ride from richmond to d.c. participants in the rva to d.c. bike ride crossed the finish line today in arlington. bicyclists on this 156 mile journey took in some of the best tourist spots in the commonwealth. their ultimate goal is to empower people to become advocates for bike and pedestrian safety throughout the state. >> we're trying to make the whole state of virginia catch up to northern virginia and take northern virginia to another level. so really it's to build awareness within elected officials and ultimately the decision-makers. >> the ride was organized by sports backers, a nonprofit gro thatup

we've got dramatic new video of a deadly house fire that happened last week in gainesville. on friday, police got a call about a car that had crashed into a garage at a home just off route 234. when they arrived, they found this scene, the entire home engulfed in flames, and man inside the car. he was pronounced dead at the scene. both the fire marshall and homicide detectives are now investigating.

feels-like forecast. this is during the afternoon hours over the next few days. when you factor in the heat and the humidity together, this is how hot it will feel. tomorrow between 100 and 110, tuesday anywhere from about 100 to 105. after that, only small improvements. wednesday and thursday, temps still feeling like they're int the upper 90s. here is the latest check of storm team 4 radar. i'm keeping a close eye of this area of rain, mainly in pennsylvania. this should set off some showers and maybe a thunderstorm overnight tonight, especially for areas north of washington. so areas like frederick, loudoun counties, up around washington, and back into far western maryland. and the panhandle of west virginia. i'll be tracking it on facebook and twitter as well throughout the evening hours. you can always find me there. i've also posted how hot it would feel in your neighborhood. and because of the extreme heat, tomorrow having a high impact on your day, a day you really want to take it easy outdoors. dangerously hot. if we hit 100,
